Hurricane Sandy victim slams President Obama for breaking his promise to help
A Hurricane Sandy victim is upset that President Obama used her for a photo op and broke his promises to help her. Donna Vanzant became one of the faces of Hurricane Sandy in touching photos taken during Obama’s visit to storm damaged New Jersey.
In the days following Hurricane Sandy, Obama stopped by the marina that Vanzant owned to survey the damage. He hugged Vanzant and made empty promises to send financial aid.
Now Vanzant is crying foul because Obama has not kept his promise to help her and others who lost everything they owned to the storm’s fury. Instead of sending the help that he promised, Obama’s aides sent Vanzant a form email.
“[The email] had nothing to do with what I was asking him. It was a form letter. It thanked me for supporting the troops. He made a promise to rebuild on national television, and I can’t even get this money,” she said.
Vanzant expressed her disappointment with Obama in interviews with FOX News and other media outlets.
“When you get a hug from the President of the United States, you feel like there’s something there,” she said.
“A promise was made… I raised my kids to know that your word is your word. You promise something, you keep it, and that was a broken promise.”
Vanzant said she suffered $500,000 in business losses, as well as $200,000 in uninsured losses to her marina.
Are people really this naive? What did she expect? Obama is a politician who was running for reelection — and promises are made to be broken.

Ironically, I heard this morning that Boehner from our State of Ohio postponed the vote on the relief funds for this disaster. Then only approved a minute portion of it to delay relief further. It is sad but true that many politicians in Washington seem to go against ANYTHING to make OUR president look bad. I think people must realize that though the President is the President, there is still due process and what seems to be too many chinks in the chain to make progress!!! It seems President Obama takes the blame for everything. I truly want to believe that he has good intentions. Truth is one never knows!

I find the blind loyalty funny…not the fact that people making between $30,000 up to $200,000 are going to see a 1.7% decrease in their checks and people making over $200,000 will see a 1.5% increase in their checks.
Romney lost so he cannot be factored into this discussion any longer. We will never know what impact, positive or negative, Romney would have made. However, to keep giving President Obama a free pass because he is Black makes all of his Black supporters the true sellouts to their race. He should have been held to a higher standard in regards to our vote and not operate under the auspices that our vote was guaranteed. It is funny because President Obama kept insisting that he was not going to provide tax cuts to the wealthy on the backs of the working poor and middle class. When people who barely earn a livable wage ($30,000 ain’t shiat) will see a 1.7% decrease in their take home pay and a person earning over $200,000 will see a 1.5% increase in their take home pay, isn’t that a reason to pause and go, “WTF?”

Rumor around here that they will reinstate raises in October.
Price of food goes up every year however this year you will notice it bc the aid that was taking away from farmers will hit us. The aid was for them to feed the cows etc however the farmers were taking short cuts and giving the animals grains and chit. THem motherfckrs been eating off of grass and hay before our existence so that made them produce less milk etc. We now have to pay for the short cuts they took. Glad that they investigated that.

I had to pray for myself at xmas time.
I was in the Big Lots when I heard my car description over the overhead.. 
I mosey up to the front and the clerk tombout, “we need you to move your car…”and then this really rotund Black lady says really, really nicely, “Im sorry..I cant get into my car..” For a second, I was all *Bey stank face* like wtf that got to do with me; just climb in the other side<– my thoughts.
..then I noticed her size..like I saw her size, but I didnt see her size… chile I was so mad at myself for doing that face at the lady, I just left my buggy and got in my car and left!
