Keri Hilson and Serg Ibaka

Singer Keri Hilson’s career took a downturn when she was blacklisted by Beyonce last year. But Hilson found a strong shoulder to cry on: OKC star Serge Ibaka. The friends were seen leaving Greystone Manor nightclub in the same car in West Hollywood, CA Sunday. Also partying in the club were Ibaka’s teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook; and singer Chris Brown.

I missed Beyonce’s National Anthem performance at President Obama’s 2nd Inauguration today. But I wasn’t the only one who missed it.. on purpose.

Dr. Maya Rockeymoore wrote an illuminating article on Huffington Post explaining why she, too, missed Beyonce’s performance on purpose.

Michelle Obama tie dress

Sunday was President Barack Obama’s 2nd Inauguration, but tongues were wagging about Michelle Obama’s dress and bangs wig. Obama himself admitted that Michelle’s bangs were the talk of the 57th Inauguration. But what about that odd blue dress she wore?

If the dress fabric looks familiar to you men, that’s because the dress’s design was based on the silk material of a man’s tie.

Lupe Fiasco kicked off stage

Sunday’s fiasco at a presidential Inauguration event must have seemed like shades of Desiree Rogers to the Obama administration.

If you recall, Obama’s attention-seeking Social Secretary Desiree Rogers resigned her post after an uninvited couple crashed a White House event and got close enough to the president to take a picture with him.

On Sunday, rapper Lupe Fiasco — who has sharply criticized Obama in the past — was kicked off the stage during an anti-Obama rant at the StartUp RockOn Inauguration Celebration at the Hamilton Live.

Foreign policy reporter Josh Rogin live-tweeted the bizarre scene as it unfolded before him.

San Francisco 49ers defeat Atlanta Falcons

San Francisco 49ers defeated the hapless Atlanta Falcons 28-24 after falling behind 17-0 at halftime in the NFC championship game Sunday. The Falcons’ momentum faltered after fumbling the ball twice in the 3rd quarter.

The 49ers scrambling quarterback Colin Kaepernick, 25, rushed for only 21 yards in the game. But it was the mere threat of him running that discombobulated the Falcons defense. Kaepernick passed for 233 yards and one touchdown to earn himself a shot at winning his 1st Super Bowl ring.

The Falcons had a chance to win the game in the final seconds of the 4th quarter. But the 49ers defense held quarterback Matt Ryan and the Falcons on 4th-and-4 to win their first trip back to the Super Bowl in 18 years.

The 49ers will face the Baltimore Ravens in the big game that has been dubbed the ‘Beyonce Bowl’ in New Orleans on February 3.
