Paparazzi run over and killed while trying to photograph Justin Bieber’s Ferrari
The Los Angeles paparazzi community is mourning one of their own today; a photographer who was following Justin Bieber’s white Ferrari was killed as he tried to snap photos of the singer’s vehicle.
California Highway Patrol pulled over the luxury $200,000 sports car last evening in Los Angeles. The paparazzo, believed to be named Chris, approached the car snapping pictures. Once he realized Bieber was not driving the Ferrari, the photographer crossed the road to return to his vehicle and was struck and killed by a Toyoto 4Runner.
Police say they spotted the photographer snapping pics during the traffic stop and ordered him to return to his vehicle. Sgt Lopez said: “He verbally ordered him to return to the vehicle, he had to order him twice and he seemed reluctant to go back, but eventually he did.
“When the photographer returned to the vehicle it did not appear that he was looking and he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound,” Lopez said.
The woman driving the Toyota reportedly got out of her truck and directed traffic to keep other cars from running over the photographer as he lay fatally injured in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Photos taken at the scene by a fellow photographer shows the man’s ball cap and shoe left behind at the scene of the accident.
Bieber, who is a highly favored meal ticket of the paparazzi, released a statement following the accident. “While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim.”
Using one of Obama’s favorite words, Bieber took the opportunity to call for legislatures to put limits on the paparazzi who chase celebrities for profits.
“Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves,” he said.
Initial reports were that Bieber was driving the car. But 2 of Biebers friends were seen inside the vehicle which was parked on the side of Sepulveda Road near Getty Center after cops pulled them over.

That’s a damn shame. They are so wreckless, and for what? Justin Beiber is dumb reason to die. Don’t mean to sound so cold about it but this death could have easily been prevented. A damn shame. My condolences to his family.

I’m sorry another human lost their life. This should be a lesson to other paparazzi about getting photos of celebs. Whatever this person may have gotten paid for the pic of Justin Bieber surely wasn’t worth his life. You’d have thought that the death of Princess Diana would’ve stopped recklessness.
