They’re saying this is what caused the power surge that knocked out half the lights in the New Orleans Superdome after Beyonce’s spectacular halftime performance Sunday night. Kelly Rowland’s boyfriend/manager, Tim Weatherspoon, gave Instagram users an insider’s behind-the-scenes perspective by snapping the above pic of rapper Jay Z bear hugging his wife, Beyonce, after her performance.
The official word from the power company is that the power outage came from the Superdome side. Entergy New Orleans tweeted: “Power issue at the Super Dome appears to be in the customer’s side. Entergy is providing power to the Dome.”
Kelly Rowland doesn’t seem too thrilled while checking her messages on her phone in her dressing room after the show.

While Beyonce’s performances don’t give me the shivers, I do applaud the support and love Jay has for Bey. That I have to her. It’s nice to have your significant other in your corner building you up instead of being envious of your success and trying to tear you down.

Awe! he loves her!!! Good to see. She did a good set last nigt. Actually enjoyed it since she managed to switch it up a bit with the outfit and the dance routines and especially with the Kelly & Michelle. Wish she would have chosen a different song to end it though other than Halo. All in all, not epic but a good way to shut down bs over the whole lip-syncing drama. Been a follower of Beyonce since before this whole “stanship” thing. She just doesn’t excite me as much at all anymore but I still support and am anxious to see what she brings in the new album. If you’ve seen one performance, you’ve seen them all. The album is what it’s all about and I hope that she brings all that energy to whatever she’s releasing in 2013!

Didn’t catch the game or half time cuz I was busy in the kitchen goin in…If I know Bey’ I know what show she put on….watching GMA seeing recaps (looks like what I’d expect)..All I gotta say is this woman gotta crazy work ethic and a hell of a machine behind her. Started with ‘love on top’ just to show her range-shut those inauguration naysayers up one last time and ended by announcing a tour….I respect her hustle and her teams hustle.
Welp, Beyonce rocked the house last night. No doubt she’s a maginificent performer and entertainer! BUT, as many have stated already…it was the same dog and pony show that we always see from her. Pops puzzay to “Single Ladies” and flips lacefront to “Crazy in Love”. No doubt the bish can dance and sing; but it was the same performance we’ve seen 1,000 times already. The only difference was she added Destiny’s Child to the mix. I wish she would’ve switched it up a bit but I’m not sure how since she stole everything from everyone else’s performances already.
BTW, this picture of Bey and Jay warms my heart. Glad to see he is there supporting her while his career fizzles into retirement. Let’s see what this era brings for Bey….

The performance had a lot of great energy. Only thing is that it was much of the same energy that she’s done over the last few years. And the fact that she doesn’t have any new material out is not an excuse. There’s always a way to revamp. Overall, great job, but I expected more from the way the performance was promoted.

KC and Bey/DC have a totally different fan base. KC is not as commercial and doesn’t have crossover appeal. I can tell from her show that KC is a bigger star in her head, than she is in real life. But KC is still successful. I agree that KC calling Michelle a bish was too much. But what if she didn’t like the performance, she couldn’t have said so without the backlash? I guess I don’t get why ppl HAVE to like Bey/DC or else.. I mean, she could have just not said anything and voiced her opinions to her close friends/family.. idk..
