President Obama’s Got a Gun!
Earlier this week I told you about the media and lawmakers’ response to President Obama saying he occasionally goes skeet shooting up at Camp David on his weekends off.
“Yes, in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time,” Mr. Obama told New Republic magazine.
In response to the brouhaha that erupted when lawmakers questioned Obama’s sincerity, The New Republic magazine Photoshopped a picture of Obama skeet shooting at Camp David.
In response to the fake photo, the White House released a real image of the president firing a real gun.
“Attn skeet birthers. Make our day – let the photoshop conspiracies begin!,” wrote White House senior adviser David Plouffe in a tweet on his Twitter account.
White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer also threw a jab at all the “skeet birthers” who doubted his boss.
He tweeted: “‘For all the “skeeters’: POTUS shoots clay targets on the range at Camp David on Aug. 4, 2012.”

The govt knows the problem is not the guns.. the govt want to convince the masses that they’re really doin somethin when really they are playing the best game ever “politics”… if any law was about safety you would think govt would put a cap on how many assault guns are bein made but govt wouldn’t dare mess with the manufacturing of guns… and by the way holla at me when a criminal follow the law.. and another by the way.. funny how govt want to band the assault weapons when 120% of the time handguns are the choice of weapon in crime stricken hoods like philly, Chicago, New Orleans, detroit etc….y’all don’t hear me tho!!!!
Agree 100% Jsaidit. How about limit the production of assault weapons??
I support the President, but politicians focus on POLITICS and they play on the masses emotions. Period.
I agree with all other comments though.
So the COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF isnt supposed to be able to handle a firearm?? So the man in charge of the US MILITARY isnt supposed to be seen with a firearm??

@Auntie Sandy – Good morning! Will you do a post on Omar Henry? Omar was the 25 year old boxer who passed from Stage 4 gall bladder cancer. I think learning about how he died would make a good medical minute.
Also, in lieu of Black History month, could you talk about peonage as it relates to the old south? Although outlawed in 1867, many southern Black males found themselves victims of peonage. Douglas A. Blackmon wrote a book about peonage; there is also a documentary about it which I saw on yt. I don’t want to get banned, but it speaks more about this horrific way to systematically destroy Blacks.

Everytime I see an article with the Pres and the words ‘skeet shooting’, I get a little bothered.

So since the President says we need stricter gun laws, that means don’t own a gun? No, it means be responsible about your guns. Give me a break!
