Celebs Out & About: Ashanti
Is it my imagination or is R&B singer Ashanti Douglas more famous now than when she was with that rapper? Ashanti, 32, was flanked by a phalanx of bodyguards as she arrived at her hotel in New York City on Tuesday (Mar 5).
As you know, rapper Nelly, 38, (who hasn’t had a hit in years) dumped Ashanti for a bisexual groupie who is probably lining up her next celebrity target as I type this. Nelly is a friend of the blog, but like most dogs, he wags his tail at every b*tch who passes by.
That’s not good enough for a mature, intelligent woman who is about her business. Ashanti is better off without him. No good will come to any man who doesn’t do right by the woman who stood right by him when he didn’t have a hit record to show for.
