Rap mogul Chris “Ludacris” Bridges hosted a packed house at REIGN Fridays in Atlanta to kick off the huge NCAA Final Four weekend. Celebrities like former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal, Cosby kid Keshia Knight-Pulliam, and more came through to party with Luda and V-103’s Big Tigger. Luda and his fiancee, Eudoxie, cuddled all night long. Love is a beautiful thing! REIGN is the place to be on Friday nights. Wesley Snipes released

Wesley Snipes was released from a Pennsylvania prison today after serving 2 years and 4 months of a 3-year federal sentence for income tax evasion.

Snipes, 50, was convicted of failing to file tax returns in 2008, but he remained free for another 2 years while appealing his conviction. After exhausting his appeals, Snipes entered McKean federal prison in December 2010 to begin serving his sentence.

NBA legend Michael Jordan and Diageo welcomed their friends, NBA star Chris Paul, Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, comedians Flex Alexander and actor Anthony Anderson, and more to the Michael Jordan Celebrity Golf Classic in Las Vegas today. Guests enjoyed Don Julio 1942 and Ciroc, but the star of the weekend was Ron Zacapa 23-year-old Rum.

Rutgers Fires Tim Pernetti

Rutgers has fired embattled athletic director Tim Pernetti (left), who staunchly defended men’s basketball coach Mike Rice after the coach was accused of assaulting his players. Rice was terminated as head coach of the Rutgers men’s basketball team earlier this week, after ESPN’s “Outside The Lines” aired a video showing him brutally punching and kicking his players.

The video footage was brought to the attention of university officials by former Rutgers director of player development Eric Murdock (right). Murdock’s contract was not renewed shortly after he came forward with the controversial video.

Now Murdock himself is under investigation — by the FBI.

Brendon Ayanbadejo, who was cut by the Baltimore Ravens, still praises the organization for “laying the groundwork” for gay players to come out of the closet.

The Ravens terminated the linebacker’s contract Thursday. But the married father-of-2 praised the Ravens for supporting his self-appointed role as the NFL spokesman for gay marriage.

Beyonce and Jay in Cuba

Beyonce and Jay Z spent their 5th wedding anniversary in Havana, Cuba. The hip hop couple stopped traffic as they strolled down a Havana street surrounded by heavy security. The Associated press reports that Beyonce and Jay ate lunch at the renowned restaurant La Guarida on Wednesday. The couple dined on fish, chicken, black beans and rice. A waitress told the AP that Beyonce and Jay Z toured the restaurant, looking at celebrity photos hanging on a wall as their security held back the crowd outside.

inmate at Orlean Parish Prison

Shocking video footage has surfaced online showing inmates gambling, drinking beer, shooting up drugs and brandishing guns. The prison is not located in a lawless third world country — the footage was allegedly filmed in a prison in New Orleans.

WDSU.com reports that U.S. District Judge Lance Africk released the videos Tuesday as part of hearings about a consent decree issued to Orleans Parish Prison.

Magic Johnson with son EJ daughter Elisa and wife Cookie

NBA legend Magic Johnson says he knew his youngest son, Earvin “EJ” Johnson, 20, was gay “for years” before he finally had “the talk” with him.

In an emotional interview with gossip website TMZ.com, Johnson, 53, said he and his wife Cookie confronted EJ about his sexuality when the boy was only 12.

McDonald's lawsuit

We’ve all heard the stories of food contamination, thefts and assaults committed by McDonald’s employees. Well, one McDonald’s franchise in Massachusetts has decided to take proactive measures to increase the intelligence and maturity levels of its cashiers.

Update: According to an article in today’s Boston Globe, the owner of the Winchendon, Mass. McDonald’s says his restaurant is an equal opportunity employer, and that the ad seeking cashiers with advanced degrees and 2 years experience is bogus.

“We do not require a bachelor’s degree for employment,” said Joe Ruscito in a statement. “My organization is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse work force.”
