George Zimmerman Stopped By Cops

George Zimmerman was stopped by a Texas police officer for speeding and packing heat earlier this week, TMZ reports. Zimmerman was driving a grey pickup truck with a Florida license plate when he was pulled over for speeding in Forney, Texas on Sunday. The officer found a loaded handgun in the truck’s glove compartment.

Zimmerman was given a warning and allowed to go on his way.. after the cop determined who the infamous driver was. The traffic stop lasted 5 minutes.

TMZ notes that Zimmerman was not wearing a disguise.

Earlier this month, Zimmerman was acquitted of killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin during a racial profiling incident in Sanford, Florida in February 2012.

Attorney General of the United States Eric Holder ordered Sanford, Florida police not to return the gun Zimmerman used to shoot Martin.

When you carry under a reciprocal concealed carry permit, you are required to inform law enforcement if you are armed upon any type of traffic stop, investigation, etc.

My son got pulled over in front of my house, for having a temp tag they couldn't see. They asked him if he had a weapon. He said yes, they ran his info, and he walked in my house. It only took 5 minutes, his skin is black, and I stood on my porch w/my pale skin. I made it known I was his mother, and I was watching.

Forney is litterly 5 mins up the freeway from my house. I’ve lived in Tx all my life and contrary to what others posted i’ve been pulled over and promptly let go, i’ve been given warnings, but i’m also a woman. My husband was made to get out of his car and stand on the side of the freeway why they ran him for about 15 mins and then let go-no ticket

It all depends what state you got your CHL in, I got mine in Texas and I can pretty much take it to most states down south. When a judge, or cop asks you for I.D. by law you are required to give them both licenses or you will lose your CHL and your weapon will be seized.
