Fairburn, Georgia native Eric Berry is today’s Morning Wood. The 24-year-old University of Tennessee standout is a safety for the Kansas City Chiefs. Eric’s accomplishments in college led sports writers to call him the best defensive player in Tennessee history. He was named NFL Rookie of the Year in his freshman year and he’s the highest paid safety in the NFL. His parents are still together, which explains why he is so humble and low-key. Eric’s friends describe him as “focused,” “down to earth” and “a real role model.” Gold diggers are not even an option for this serious young man. Eric still lives in Fairburn where he gives back to his community.
