Decades ago, the weapon of choice for vindictive high school girls was common household drain cleaner containing weapons grade sulfuric acid.

The mean girls would sneak the liquid into school and fling it in the face of their enemies, then stand by and watch the girl’s face melt off. Some states wised up and required a plumber’s or contractor’s ID to buy drain cleaners containing almost 100 percent sulfuric acid. Georgia is not one of those states.

A Henry County woman recently woke up after 2 months in a drug-induced coma. Christy Sims, 43, told Channel 2 Action News that her ex-boyfriend intentionally threw drain cleaner into her face because she was about to break up with him. The divorced mother of 2 is encouraged that Henry County police recently opened an investigation in her case.

Despite multiple surgeries, Sims’ face is horribly disfigured and her upper torso and arms were also burned by the caustic liquid.

“My entire face has been destroyed. My body is destroyed. I’m burned over 20 percent of my body,” Sims told Channel 2’s Tom Regan.

But a California judge wisely delayed making a decision on conservatorship until Bynes is well enough to appear in court to speak for herself. The judge also determined that Bynes, 27, and her parents had limited contact with each other before the arson incident.

According to gossip website TMZ, Bynes was given an early diagnosis of “schizophrenic tendencies”.

By now you’ve seen the amateurish looking trailer for the upcoming TLC biopic “CrazySexyCool”. The made-for-TV movie stars KeKe Palmer (as Chilli), Drew Sidora (as T-Boz) and Lil Mama as the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Like all the previous attempts to help the surviving members of TLC stay relevant, this too shall pass.

The truth is Left Eye was the spark that gave TLC life. Once Left Eye died, TLC died with her. Lil Mama as Left Eye is an insult. No wonder the Lopes family didn’t sign on for this project.

The show, which airs on FOX, is hosted by Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Bailon, and Tamera Mowry. It’s hard to ignore the show’s similarities to ‘The View’. But unlike the respectable ladies on ‘The View’, ‘The Real’ isn’t above lowering their standards to boost their TV ratings. Many people think the dance craze ‘twerking’ is cute, but the only difference between a woman who twerks and a stripper is one of them gets paid to shake her azz and the other one doesn’t. We have to do better.
