Beyonce Martin tribute

While in Atlanta for a concert over the weekend, Beyonce took a private, guided tour of the historic birth home and church of civil rights icon Martin Luther King. On Monday she posted photos paying homage to Dr. King on her personal website, which were mistaken for a tribute to slain Miami teenager Trayvon Martin.

Sources tell me that Beyonce's publicist fielded numerous phone calls all day yesterday from the media who thought Beyonce's photo tribute was a subtle protest of the Zimmerman not guilty verdict. So Beyonce instructed her webmaster to add a photo of Dr. King to her website to clarify who the tribute was intended for.

A Los Angeles judge has revoked Chris Brown's probation in his 2009 domestic abuse conviction for beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

The judge revoked Brown's probation today after reviewing a request from the LA prosecutor's office, which alleges that Brown violated the terms of his probation by committing an alleged hit-and-run in May.

Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin set a August 16 court date to determine if any punishment is warranted. Brown faces up to 4 years in prison.

Before the hearing, Brown took to his Twitter page today to plead his case in the court of public opinion: "I did everything I was suppose to do during the so called hit n run, I provided the correct info. There were no injuries or damages. C'mon!!"

A middle-aged Tennessee woman wants an apology from a doctor who used ghetto slang to explain the cause of her lower back pain.

In an interview with CBS affiliate WERG in Memphis, Terry Ragland, 55, said she went to see Dr. Timothy Sweo in April for treatment of severe lower back pain.

“It’s one of those things where my hip seems to slip, like it’s slipping out of place a little bit. It’s painful when you get up to go walk it kind of slips, you know,” said Ragland, explaining her painful condition.

Dr. Sweo examined Ragland and diagnosed her with Lumbar Lordosis, a painful inward curvature of the lower spine that causes the tailbone to protrude outward.

“He said ‘I know what the problem is. It’s ghetto booty,’” said Ragland. "I think I blacked out after he said 'ghetto booty,'" she recalled.

Kim Kardashian's mother/manager Kris Jenner stooped to a new low by using her granddaughter, North West, to promote her new daytime talk show, "Kris", on her Facebook page. Kris wrote, “You never know who will stop by our show today! #WatchKris”. She also posted a photo of herself smiling with a baby in her arms. The infant in her arms looks a little larger than a preemie who was born last month. The photo teaser prompted one fan to write: “We will be very disappointed if this is not Kim’s baby."

Indeed, the child may be a North West imposter. Gossip website TMZ confirms the infant belongs to a hair and makeup person on the set.

Kim is reportedly outraged that someone on the staff at Cedars-Sinai hospital leaked her Pre-eclampsia diagnosis to the tabloids.

Solange Knowles Protest

Singer/DJ Solange Knowles was among the demonstrators taking to the streets around the country to protest the acquittal of the man charged with killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Solange participated in a rally for Trayvon at Brooklyn's Borough Hall, in Brooklyn, NY, on Sunday -- one day after a Florida jury acquitted George Zimmerman on all charges. Solo's more famous sister, Beyonce, asked for a moment of silence during her concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. "I'd like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon," said Beyonce on Saturday, about 30 minutes after the verdict was announced. President Barack Obama called for calm after the verdict. And the Dept. of Justice says it will review the case to see if Zimmerman violated Trayvon's civil rights.

  • George Zimmerman not guilty

After deliberating for 2 days, an all-white, all female Florida jury found George Zimmerman not guilty on all counts in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman, 29, breathed a sigh of relief as the verdict was read in a Florida courtroom on Saturday.

The self-appointed neighborhood watchman claimed self-defense when he shot the unarmed teen to death in February 2012 in a gated Sanford, Florida subdivision. Martin was returning to his father's friend's home after a trip to a convenience store to buy a pack of Skittles for his stepbrother and a beverage for himself.

A White House official tells CNN President Obama will not issue a statement on the Zimmerman not guilty verdict.

  • The Gay Agenda in Schools

    Loyal reader Kayla writes:

    Good evening Ms Rose!

In these past few weeks I've read a few of your articles regarding the gay agenda. I knew that our country was trying to make everyone more accepting with the LGBT community, which I feel is necessary, but the way that they are targeting our children is disturbing. So naturally I did my research and came across this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egxB0dTajb4 (At around 6 minutes they start discussing kids.)

In the video, parents were targeted and one even thrown in jail because he didn't agree with his son's school reading a book called 'A King and A King'. Once he and his wife had their day in court, the school district admitted that they felt it was necessary to teach children homosexuality because they are at an 'impressional age'.

I have nothing against homosexuality, or even letting children know that some families are different, but they are not allowing these kids to grow and develop their own feelings.

What is the first step to protect our children?

    Update: Loyal reader Audra writes:

Thank you so much for posting the video on the agenda the Gay community is using to target our children. If being gay is an individuals choice then that is a decision they decided to live with but to force such ideals on my child that is raised to have views that oppose such a lifestyle is dead wrong.

    Inside Kandi Burruss Mansion

Remember when "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss purchased a dilapidated mansion at a bargain basement price last year? Well, the extensive renovations have been completed and Kandi invited AJC photographer Phil Skinner to photograph the stunning results.

Kandi purchased the nearly 8,000 sq ft estate in southwest Atlanta at a steal! The home boasts an indoor pool, a guest house and 6-car garage in an affluent gated community. I'm told Kandi splashed out over $300,000 for renovations. Kandi filled her home with ornate objets d'art, paintings and gilded chandeliers that perfectly reflects her eclectic style.

    Rihanna Uses Homophobic Slur

Normally I ignore immature juveniles who have no home training. But this I can't ignore. In response to this post, Rihanna wrote a message on Instagram.com referring to this blogger as a "tranny." I am not transgender, but transgender people are often the targets of violence, and the term 'tranny' is a homophobic slur that incites violence against transgendered people.

Kenya Moore at Fulton County Courthouse

I received an email from a friend who is in the legal field. He covers court cases for another media entity. It finally dawned on him yesterday that the whole Kenya Moore eviction debacle is just another stunt to boost TV ratings and to draw attention to "Real Housewives of Atlanta" tv series. This shouldn't surprise anyone. I've been saying this all along about reality TV shows using the court system to boost ratings. Read the email after the break.

    Beyonce's private dancer

For months now I've been hearing rumors about barroom singer Beyonce having an affair with one of her male dancers. I ignored the rumors because I assumed the dancer was gay. But according to my source, he is as straight as an arrow. Beyonce is reportedly so smitten with the guy that she posts hundreds of adoring photos of this male dancer all over her personal Tumblr page. In fact, Beyonce's loving photographic tribute to this particular dancer outnumbers the photos she posts of her own husband. It's inappropriate for a wife to shower so much attention on a man other than her husband. I believe the rumors, but I know some of you will scoff at this. Just don't forget where you read it first.

Word out of Rihanna's camp is the singer is considering taking out a restraining order if her former lover Chris Brown doesn't stop dropping her name in interviews. I can't say any more about that for legal reasons. But if it happens, remember where you read it first.

Both Rihanna and Chris cut off all contact with each other after their break up in May. But that hasn't stopped him from continuing to use Rihanna's name to promote his upcoming album.

Brown's latest publicity stunt came in the form of a tweet saying he and Rihanna were collaborating on a new track called "Put It Up". But Rihanna lashed out with a subliminal tweet on Twitter.com: “B*tch you will die, be born again, die again and be born again before I do a song with you b*tch,” she wrote.

Aging rapper Jay Z put his narcissism on display at a Manhattan art gallery on Wednesday. The 44-year-old rapper lip synced his track "Picasso Baby" for 6 hours at Pace Art Gallery. The publicity stunt was intended to help boost sales of his twelfth studio album, Magna Carta Holy Grail. The album shipped platinum thanks to the 1 million advance copies purchased by Samsung to give away for free to Samsung Galaxy owners.

During his 6-hour repetitive performance of the same song, Jay Z invited observers to join him. Beyonce's husband cheered on a break dancer, and at one point he was joined by performance artist Marina Abramovic.

A Complex magazine editor captured more Vines of Jay Z's mind numbing performance after the break.

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez Getting Married

E! News reports exclusively that Oscar winner Halle Berry and French actor Olivier Martinez are tying the knot this weekend.

Berry, 46, and Martinez, 47, are expecting their first baby, a son, in September. Berry has a daughter, Nahla Aubry, 5, with Canadian underwear model Gabriel Aubry.

Berry, who has 2 failed marriages, swore she would never wed again. But after meeting Martinez on a movie set in South Africa in 2010, she revealed to InStyle magazine her dreams of walking down the aisle again.

"I do know it will be very small," she told the InStyle.

"I haven't been to many weddings, but I went to one this weekend with 250 guests. I thought, Wow—so this is a wedding, huh? I've never had that, nor have I wanted that. I wasn't even trying to catch the bouquet!"

"Who knew?!" she told Extra this past weekend, when rumors of her impending nuptials leaked. "I swore it off, right? Never say never, people!"

E! News reports that Martinez's ring's designer is "real artist" Robert Mazlo, a jeweler from his Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood in Paris, whose family has been designing jewelry for "kings and queens for many centuries."

  • It's easy to tell when a couple is under the influence of Dopamine, the brain neurotransmitter that is released whenever we experience pleasure. They behave like drug addicts; perpetually on edge, waiting for that next hit, or the next text message from each other.

Just like the lab rats in that famous lab experiment, humans become addicted to whatever (or whoever) causes a rush of Dopamine to be released in our brains.

And when the Dopamine fades, it usually leads to a spectacular break up. Take Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, for instance. At one time they ouldn't get enough of each other. But now, according to Radar Online, Khloe has come to her senses and kicked Lamar out of her mansion for cheating on her.
