Throwback Thursdays: Ellen Degeneres, Destiny’s Child, Snoop Dogg, Britney Spears, LL Cool J, Jada Pinkett
Daytime talk show host Ellen Degeneres tweeted the above image of herself posing with ’80s girl group Destiny’s Child.
Old skool rapper Snoop Dogg and singer Britney Spears got together on the set of a music video. Neither knew who the other one was at the time.
16-year-old dancer Jada Pinkett was the first runner-up at the 18th annual Hal Jackson’s Talented Teens Pageant held in Chicago in 1988. Rapper LL Cool J presented Jada with her trophy. Jada, who represented her hometown of Maryland, went on to become a well-known actress and future wife of superstar actor Will Smith. The pageant winner, Kiya Winston of Chicago, faded into obscurity.
