Music tycoon Kanye West bailed on Nike following a dispute over royalties. In a recent interview with New York's HOT 97, Kanye explained:
“So [Nike] said, ok cool, we’re gonna give you a bigger sandbox to play in. We’re gonna give you this amount right here to design, and two collections a year, and 30 SKU — that’s the amount of items that you have. Would that make you happy, Kanye?” And rightfully so, Kanye replied: “I need royalties.”
In that same interview Kanye announced his partnership deal with Nike's rival, Adidas. Well, it seems Nike had a surplus of Air Yeezy 2 "Red October" shoes left over from Kanye's contract.
UPDATE: The Red Nike Air Yeezy 2 will be available ONLINE ONLY on December 27th at 8am EST.
