Local rapper Kayo Redd has died of an apparent suicide. Redd is the younger brother of rapper Waka Flocka Flame. Industry veteran Debra Antney announced her son’s death on her social media accounts Sunday night.

Waka Flocka followed up his mother’s tweet with an anguished (now-deleted) tweet indicating Redd may have taken his own life.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union visit Burano Island in Venice, Italy

The blogs were on point with this one. NBA star Dwyane Wade fathered a baby boy with a groupie while he was on hiatus from actress Gabrielle Union.

Wade recently spent time with his new baby boy, a source close to the couple tells ET.

According to ET, Wade, 31, and Union, 41, “have worked through the issue privately as a couple, and the Bring It On star was aware of the child before their engagement.” Wade, who proposed to Union 2 weeks ago, has known the mother of his youngest son “for many years.” Wade is now the father of 3 boys.

Welp, this means Wade has fulfilled God’s commandment to multiply and replenish the earth with his seed with multiple women.

Outrage As Giant M&M Substituted for Peach Drop

Atlantans are outraged that the New Year’s Peach Drop organizers have apparently sold out to a corporate sponsor.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution published this photo in today’s online edition notifying “holiday purists” that the iconic peach has been replaced by a gigantic yellow M&M candy.

Beyonce Criticized for Using Audio from Challenger Disaster

Pageant singer Beyonce is under fire for using the voice of now-retired NASA public affairs officer Steve Nesbitt, who described the 1986 Challenger Shuttle disaster as it broke apart in the skies over Florida. Challenger exploded 73 seconds after lift off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Jan. 28, 1986. The explosion killed all seven crew members on board, including Christa McAuliffe, a civilian school teacher who was along for the ride.

Beyonce and her song writers carelessly included the audio clip as the intro to her song “XO” off her controversial self-titled album.

Family and friends of the Challenger crew, including former and current astronauts, are outraged that Beyonce used the audio as an obvious publicity stunt on her album.

Reality TV star Chrissy Lampkin arrested

Former Love & Hip Hop NY cast member Chrissy Lampkin, 42, was arrested following a bar fight in New Jersey in the early hours of Sunday, Dec. 29, Splash News reports. Lampkin, who stars in her own LHHNY spin-off with fiancé Jim Jones, was arrested following a bar brawl in Edgewater. Lampkin, real name Christine Lampkin, was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct after the 2:30 am bar fight in which a woman was bloodied. The victim was reportedly hospitalized and treated for her injuries. Reports are that Lampkin took offense to the woman sitting on her sofa in the club’s VIP section. There were no cameras rolling at the time of incident. After cooling her heels for a few hours in a 6×10 jail cell, rapper Jim Jones bailed her out.

Onnika Fisher found safe

An Amber Alert has been canceled for a missing 6-year-old Florida girl who was found safe in South Georgia.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, police stopped Charity Chatman, 39, as she drove through Perry, Georgia, just south of Macon. Chatman’s daughter, Onnika Fisher, was returned safely to Florida authorities, Georgia Bureau of Investigation officials said.

An Amber Alert had been issued for Onnika in Florida on Friday night, about 3 hours after the girl was snatched by her mother during a supervised visit at the Jewish Family & Community Services Center in Lakewood, Fla.

Good Morning America Anchor Robin Roberts finally came out as a lesbian over the weekend. In a ‘thank you’ note posted on her Facebook page, Roberts acknowledged her longtime relationship with girlfriend Amber, a middle aged Caucasian woman who is rarely photographed in public with Roberts. This is not news to longtime fans of Roberts, who frequented lesbian bars in Atlanta in the 1990s when she worked as a young sports reporter for a news station in Atlanta.
