You are so right and this is partly why divorce rates are high that keeping up with the Joness has gone off the wall everyone wants to live like these clowns sad …. but I will say there are still some real couples (marriages) out here that are just so inspiring

I agree their are people out here that can be very inspring…. I’m just not easily influenced by it though…. now people that have been married 50, 40 yrs I want to still be in love with you even when you can’t get it up when you up in age….. that best friend love that love that you can’t live without …… when one dies, the other want to far behind… if that makes any sense

I get what you are saying but I don’t totally agree. I think that the most solid marriages are the ones where they have overcome adversity and cared enough to love one another despite their mistakes and short comings. What might be a deal breaker for one person might not be for another. Now I do NOT think I could handle a “side baby” but people have been doing it for years and after the fact had some of the BEST marriages. Some of the people that we (not you or me of course.. we perfect ) look up to have done some of these people and have NO idea what they are really like or what they have been through. I mean some people swear Bill Cosby and Camille are perfect. He had many affairs, a side kid or two and Camille I think was an alcoholic? So do what works best for you and yours. Don’t let other people’s opinions of what you should do run your life

real marriage probably IS hard thats why i would never ever never ever get married if we couldnt get a house big enough for me to have my own room. im bout that Virginia Woolf life. gots to have a room of my own. and in REAL LIFE, a lot of married couples do. my aunt has been married for 50 years–got her own room. nother aunt been married 40–got her own room. they sleep with their hubbies but they chill in their own space to maintain sanity.

We see it all the time in scripted TV, reality TV and real life…how many times do you hear people saying “hoes are winning” these days? Side chicks are coming from every direction now and in some cases, they are “winning.” It’s as if they have NO shame.

Depending on your definition of winning,I could see how many are easily influenced by this…but how you get ’em is how you lose ’em…it’s just crazy how society is slowly desensitizing us to so many things…adultery is adultery no matter how you sugar coat it or put a nice script to it…its being promoted as “acceptable” now SMH….I’m sure this has always been the case throughout history but it is becoming more visible to the public eye more than ever
