Talk show host Queen Latifah was given a siren blaring police escort to Super Bowl 48 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday. Latifah was not suiting up to play in the game, she was there to sing “America The Beautiful” with a children’s choir prior to the kick off.
Latifah even bragged about being escorted to the stadium on the taxpayer’s dime. “On the move with police escorts to #SB48 :)” she tweeted from the back seat of her chauffeur driven limo.
Although Latifah did a satisfactory job singing “America The Beautiful”, incredulous Super Bowl fans ripped her to shreds on Twitter.com.
After singing, Queen Latifah will go back into the dressing room, gear up and play linebacker.
