Report: Ebony Steele Was Forced Out of Her Job

When radio personality Ebony Steele left the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, her fans took the news hard. A few of them emailed Sandrarose.com wondering if Ms. Steele, pictured left, was fired. According to Dennis Byron of Hiphopenquirer.com, Ms. Steele and Ricky Smiley had a falling out and he basically forced her out of her job.

Yesterday came word that former TV evangelist, failed singer, and Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Porsha Williams was named the permanent co-host of Dish Nation, replacing Steele.

Below is the exclusive interview Dennis did with Porsha just a week ago before the announcement.

I REALLY miss Ebony from the Rickey Smiley show!! Ebony bought a certain class to the show that Claudia just doesn’t have. Ebony was great at getting the guys back on track when they went off on their tangents…especially Rickey. Ebony would throw her shade on the low. I knew something was up when she kept “goin missing”. Claudia doing the news just don’t even sound right…

The show isn’t the same without Ebony. There was an undeniable chemistry with her being there. She could keep up with the boys but her and Gary repped for the women too. She will definitely be missed. I’m done with the show.

Her and Rickey met at college and been tight since so this comes as a shock.
