The first amendment is under attack in Chicopee, MA. Just days after two NYPD officers were ambushed and executed by a deranged gunman in Brooklyn NY, a Massachusetts man was arrested for writing a post on Facebook.
Chicopee police arrested Charles DiRosa on Monday and charged him with something called "Threat To Commit a Crime," after he posted a “Put Wings on Pigs” post on Facebook.
Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 28, had threatened to put "wings on pigs" in an Instagram post before he shot and killed NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu as they sat in their squad car on Saturday.
The Chicopee police said that local residents alerted them to Charles DiRosa's “very disturbing post” on Facebook.
“After the events of the past few days, the PD took this threat very seriously,” Chicopee police wrote on Facebook.
DiRosa was released with a summons to appear in court where his case will likely be tossed by a judge.
