A member of the 90s R&B group Brownstone bled to death after a fall in her Denmark home on Saturday. Charmayne “Maxee” Maxwell’s untimely death at age 46 sparked rumors that she was suicidal.

According to BET.com, Maxwell attended her son’s soccer game and then returned to her Denmark home alone. Her husband, Danish music producer Carsten Soulshock, came home and found Maxwell on the floor bleeding profusely from a neck wound. Broken shards of glass were found near her.

Emergency responders rushed her to a hospital but she died from severe loss of blood.

Authorities do not suspect foul play in Maxwell’s death. Her brother Brandon Maxwell lashed out at a blogger on Twitter.com for suggesting that Maxee was suicidal based on a tweet.

“People are so dumb. This is actually BS… Bad things happen to the most innocent people. My sister died in the most terrible way and I’m in so much pain right now.”

The group Brownstone, which was signed to Michael Jackson’s MJJ Records, also featured Nichole “Nicci” Gilbert and Monica “Mimi” Doby. The group is best known for their Grammy-nominated 1995 hit single “If You Love Me”. Gilbert, 44, was a cast member on the first 2 seasons of R&B Divas: Atlanta.
