Rihanna Home tops Get Hard

Another family-oriented movie won big at the box office this past weekend. Rihanna's animation family movie Home easily took first place with $54 million in ticket sales. Its closest competition, Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell's comedy film Get Hard pulled in a respectable $34.6 million.

From Box Office Mojo:

While Home easily took first place, Get Hard was no slouch either: playing at 3,175 locations, the R-rated comedy opened to an estimated $34.6 million this weekend. That ranks third all-time among live-action Ferrell movies, and ranks second among Hart's recent slew of leading roles (behind Ride Along).

The movie's audience was 54 percent male and 61 percent were 25 years of age or older. Word-of-mouth is mixed ("B" CinemaScore), and reviews are terrible; add in the fact that this faces direct competition from Furious 7 next weekend, and there's a chance that this falls off quickly. Still, a final total over $100 million isn't out of the question.

Get Hard also stars rap mogul Clifford "T.I." Harris.

We've been in my hometown the past couple of weekends and we have to go again this weekend. Lil Butter won't stay inside long enough to get cleaned up and go to a movie. He definitely enjoys country living.

Dub20 has been a huge fan of that franchise since day UNO. Her uncle has a rebuilt IROC and him and her dad unleashed her on it out in the country where they live.

Me, her aunt, and sister wife:  +
      Her daddy:

There was a couple on the other side of my daughter. Audience FULL of grown ass people, getting their lives to Cinderella.

I want to see Cinderella and I can not explain the joy in my  that there is a live action Beauty and the Beast :yahoo: It is my favorite tale and when I do read a romance it is ALWAYS based on this theme.
