Kanye West TIME magazine

Hip Hop mogul Kanye West talked TIME magazine into featuring him on the cover — without his more popular wife, Kim Kardashian. Actually, Kim is featured inside the magazine.

Kanye graces one of five covers for TIME‘s 100 Most Influential People.

Which isn’t such a big deal when you consider that most newsstands will display actor Bradley Cooper, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, dancer Misty Copeland, or Jorge Ramos’s covers on their newsstands before they choose Kanye’s cover.

Oh, and openly gay director and producer Lee Daniels also featured on the list as a “titan,” whatever that means.
