Openly gay Instagram blogger Jarrett Scott Page has succumbed to the virus that causes AIDS, according to gossip blog Fameolous.com.

Word of Scott’s untimely death spread quickly last night on social media. Scott’s brother confirmed the cause of death to Fameolous.com.

Scott regularly updated his social media followers on his health issues. He was best known for his gossip posts on Instagram.com and Twitter.com.

Today everyone in the blog industry woke up to some bad news about blogger Jarrett Scott Page. According to his brother who we spoke to anonymously, Jarret Scott died from HIV complications. The blogger was always sick and complain many times on Instagram about having sinus infections. Well, his brother says that was HIV. Most life insurance has a two year contestability clause. If you pass from suicide or a preexisting condition during this time they may contest the claim and only return premiums paid. This also restarts if your policy lapses and is reinstated. Very sad for this family.

If you purchase a life insurance policy and die before 2 years, they asked for more info, it depends on the diagnosis. In other words, if you purchase a life insurance policy knowing you are chronically/ terminally ill they will not pay out. If you purchase one and are diagnosed within 2 years they will more than likely pay out. If they choose to investigate you have to wait before they pay out.

Sorry to hear that! I think it depends on how well you care for yourself. I knew a brother that was in denial and passed quickly. I also know several people who accepted it, take medication daily and over all take care of their bodies that are thriving and have been for YEARS.

Sure. My aunt(distant) is on drugs and her boyfriend who had AIDS was sleeping with both her and her daughter. She(her daughter) was a teenager at the time. Its not even fair to say she was a teenager, she may have been 14 or 15. I said that to say, she was a child who was taken advantage of.

It’s like bacteria that develops a resistance to antibiotics through repeated exposure. New, stronger antibiotics are required to fight it. Same thing with the HIV virus. The virus changes its coating to resist the drugs. Nothing can kill a virus. Antivirals just slows it down.

Condolences. Yeah life insurance is no joke. I hear mixed things about dying inside of the 2 years in which it was purchased. i was always taught the only thing u MIGHT get are a portion of the premiums, but definitely not the benefit amount. After 2 years, the life benefits are paid (suicide may be the exception, check with your life insurance company site). Condolences. I hate seeing these young people get out of here at all.

Hmmmm. Very interesting Sandra. Now this would be an intriguing medical post. I may be on a tangent, but my aunt passed from AIDS complications (husband, same old story) and I know a guy who has HIV. I commend him for putting it out there and telling folks on dating sites and whatnot. I can tell he’s so lonely and wants a relationship, but in speaking his truth, it hasn’t happened yet. He’s a very successful guy, handsome, etc. I was so stunned when I came across his profile on a dating site and didn’t know how to, or if I should, approach him. I did, he denied it was his profile. I told him point blank that if it isn’t him for real great. If it is, I commend your honesty and I’ll never share your status with anyone, you have my word. We have a lot of mutual friends. Profiles can be fake and sm1 could’ve just been blasting his status pretending to be him.

I commend him for being honest online, but he couldn’t admit it to you in person? I understand the stigma associated with HIV. When I was a young nurse in the 1980s I worked on an AIDS unit. One day I was injecting medicine into an IV in a patient’s arm and I pricked my finger. I broke out in a sweat and I could feel the panic rising inside me. I couldn’t get to the sink fast enough to wash my hands. The hospital had a protocol back then for HIV skin pricks. You had to get a shot and your blood was drawn periodically to see if you seroconverted – and the whole hospital would know your business. So I didn’t report it. I went to my own doctor and got my blood tested. Thankfully I never seroconverted.

All life insurance policies have was called a two year contestability period. If you die with a two year period of a desease you were diagnosed with before you bought the policy or commit suicide all they do is refund the money you paid. However if you weren’t diagnosed with the illness already they will pay the full amount. My mother died a year after her policy was bought and we got paid in full because she was only diagnosed 3 months before she died. He must have bought the insurance after he found out he was sick.

It may be one of those insurance policy that will not cash out until after death, because the insurance companies wait for a death certificate and then a check with the local coroners office which takes about 30-45 days. Many people have insurance policies like that and don’t know it until after the fact

I was watching Unsung and they did an episode on Sylvester James. So because I’m a nerd I googled him. He passed away from complications from Aids. What I found ironic was his hospitalization due to sinus surgery is when his decline in health occurred. So I googled some more because Jarret always complained about sinus infections. Apparently it’s common for people with HIV/AIDS to have reoccurring infections. Sad!

A lot of people do dumb **** when they are younger. The thing about HIV is that years later you can pay for stupid a mistake (mistakes). And even if someone shows you his/her text results, it doesn’t account for the activity they do WHILE y’all together/after you’ve seen the results AND just because someone tests negative doesn’t mean they don’t have HIV, it just means their medication is working well enough to make them undetectable. Truth be told, we’d almost all have HIV if it wasn’t for the grace of God.
