I was myself perplexed when he came out with the whole “Think like a man” thing. I said “why in the world would I take relationship advice from a twice divorced man?” My fiance was of the opinion that trying and failing put him in a position to know what works and what doesn’t. I guess, but I like Steve for his comedy (and to me that book was a comedy) and for his run as Mr. Hightower and not much else.

That being said, it did seem like he dragged those women through hell and back. Who knows though, they may have had some crazy in them. Benefit of the doubt, I guess.

Ah well…Steve may or may not have been a saint. But likely, they, as in the previous wives, made him feel less of a man during the mean years as oppose to encouraging him (which likely contributed to his alleged attitude towards them) and well…he just wasn’t going to take it anymore. The second wife came along when he was starting to be up and coming BUT maybe she too made him feel like he should be grateful for what he had though he wanted more out of life. She probably was content where he became less content with his life with her…and who knows…she probably was a paranoid wife while he was on the up and up by accusing him of always going out and cheating on her (which may be neither here nor there). He just got tired of it all and figured he was going to find peace with Marjorie because let’s face it….no matter how beautiful she is, if a woman just makes her man feel miserable or less than, or don’t inspire/encourage him usually, he eventually sees the light to find greener pastures.

….and really I think that’s really all there is to it.

Yeah….it’s called ENJOYING THE FRUITS OF YOUR LABOR. Why just work and lay in the house? EVERYONE deserves to enjoy life however much their income allow.

….and that’s what happens when you use the child as a pawn (as she most likely did) or negatively discuss his father to him, bringing him to tears…..at least that’s what I’ll assume considering if she can go on YouTube to publically defame Steve, what’s it to her to bash him to their son?. Besides, what’s so bad about him living with his father? He’s a boy AND the father can provide not only love but a comfortable life. Thus, she should actually welcome the thought that Steve WANTS their son to be with him full-time….or is it more of the idea of Marjorie being the surrogate mother that fuels her bitterness even more?

As for “doing the same thing as they,” I suppose me and mine can do our “middle-class” version of living it up….hey maybe that can be an idea for you and yours too, LOL. Because even in the everyday society, the more happy, relaxed and or successful a couple comes off, the likely SOMEONE would LOOK for some “flaw” or read to deeply into something that they THINK they observed or heard between the couple, and start gossip mills. Imagine adding a lot of money to the picture….you’ll certainly get EVERYONE’S attention.

Then assuming YOUR friend is indeed a “friend” of Steve and Marjorie Harvey, I’m more sorry for Marjorie….it takes that one “friend” or acquaintance to decide to assume, draw the wrong conclusion, or flat out create a story and spread it amongst their community/circle and hurt the subject’s reputation because unfortunately others decide to buy into the hype as oppose to consider how THEY know Marjorie. Because no one is interested in THE TRUTH…..they’d rather build on the lie. So….she slept with her husband’s brother, then turned around and paid him off to keep his mouth shut, she later slept with his best man and flirted with his cousin too and now she’s insisting that Steve continue to indulge her or she will divulge what REALLY happened between him and ex-wife Mary on her own YouTube video. You see how easy stories get twisted or exaggerated or frankly how people can get brought through the ringer?….and NONE OF IT MAY BE TRUE. Yeah I wonder what this “friend” of yours and acquaintance of Marjorie feel about her OWN life….because EVEN IF it’s true, WHY would you broadcast it to ANYONE other than to see this spectacular, full of life, pampered wife with the loving husband couple SUFFER or FAIL? Naw I’m not interested in buying into that. I may not “know” them from Adam and Eve BUT I know far-fetched and determined for ruin when I hear/read it.

Yet same scenario, HOW do you know he left her with no money? And anyway, what’s wrong with her that she is not getting her own career going to make her own money? See, the judge gave HIM the child and SHE made a “bash Steve Harvey” video (the father of her child, IRRELEVANT to what may or may not have happened between THEM) and she conveniently did the video at the peak of his career (when the relationship book came out) and suddenly, she feels she needs to speak her truth? Also, I’d stated that it is easier for me to ASSUME she used the son as a pawn because she seems like a bitter woman who HAD only her son (the golden goose) and usually, bitter/scorned women/men are more likely to use the kids as pawns.

Well now….I come without trying to bash. I tend to look at things from an entirely different perspective considering you or I NEVER really could know the whole story and it’s really all just speculation. Over the years, I’ve come to learn that people may not always or necessarily give the full details, especially when you’re talking something as disheartening as a divorce. For all any of us know, he gave her a lump sum of money/divorce settlement and she was frivolous with it which landed her in that “one rented room” much like celebrities (rappers especially) blow through millions of dollars without knowing where, how, or when their next gig is coming, and they have no other investment(s). Or perhaps indeed, he walked away being ordered to pay her NOTHING….and then he says she was provided for and given a settlement….you see what I mean? What’s REALLY the situation? But I lean towards the former (she received a lump sum) because the timing and her choices in the way she appears to suddenly start a smear campaign seems well….strange and downright bitter. In reference to her own career, IF YOU ARE DIVORCING, HOW ELSE should she support herself?….A JOB/CAREER. If she was not granted alimony (which coincide with your statement of “him being her career” and alimony is usually granted to a spouse that has been married for at least 10 years ), perhaps her circumstances may be different because alimony would allow her to live the life as close to what she had with Steve as possible provided she doesn’t remarry or cohabitate with a boyfriend. Now in reference to “moving on,” HE has clearly moved on and is apparently enjoying life completely and fully with his current wife, so what can she possibly do about that? She can be disgruntled, which doesn’t matter what she did during the marriage because apparently, in the end, he didn’t see her as an asset for whatever reason….like it or not and THEY’RE NO LONGER MARRIED so he’s no longer her “career” OR, YES….SHE CAN MOVE ON WITH HER LIFE…really, what else? What good would it do for her to be angry and watch him and the new wife live in the lap of luxury while she is living in her “one rented room in a house”? The point is, her life no longer needs to/or can revolve around Steve as it once did and well….I hate to say it but in today’s world, I wouldn’t recommend any woman being too dependent on a man even if he is her spouse….I know MY FATHER never encouraged me to be totally dependent on a man but well…to each her own…it is what it is. And really, HOW does she benefit from looking at Steve and crying “woe is me”?…..She can USE THAT ENERGY TO ENHANCE HERSELF. Otherwise, she’ll continue wasting away. So YES…she’s going to have to make a living in something that DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND STEVE. I NEVER heard Steve say anything suggesting “dragging her name” BESIDES his expression/response to HER sudden public antics and YouTube “tell all” videos. So, I’m sorry…I can’t be an advocate for her situation because it’s just a matter of what you make of your life afterwards and if she’s not going to do anything but be on the outside looking in and what seems to be coveting the new Mrs. Harvey’s lifestyle, and still moaning about yesterday, it’s like she’s attempting to draw in a crowd to provide her with sympathy and I’m no fan of “pity parties.” I’m more of a fan of “SUCCESS being the BEST revenge.” HOW TO OVERCOME AND BE A NEW INDEPENDENT, SUCCESSFUL WOMAN….or hell….instead of doing YouTube videos and giving the information away for free, if she feels so inclined to tell her story, GET A BOOK DEAL….so if you/her insist, THAT’S HOW YOU CAN MAKE STEVE A CAREER…AND GET PAID FOR IT….then invest the proceeds in something that would be income when you think in terms of longevity. Perhaps that can be enough “closure” for her.

OK…..so it’s better for her to sit, groan and moan, and use all of that energy and focus on Steve for the rest of her life(?)….what a waste of a life. Because again regardless of what he may or may not have done to her, I guarantee you (apparently as we can see) HE HAS CLEARLY MOVED ON and is living HIS life to the fullest…..CERTAINLY NOT thinking about her because she is now the past. Hence HE is now HER past. How do you live a fulfilled life dwelling in the past, especially on something that she has no control over. THAT’S the point of moving on. It’s not like he’ll leave his current life with his wife and come back to her is it? But again, if she insist on using her life to dwell on Steve, then for heaven’s sake, make money for it then…like I previously said, she should just get a book deal.
