Damon Wayans: ‘Stop twisting my words about Cosby rape allegations’ (Video)

Comedian and actor Damon Wayans is hitting back at criticism over comments he made about the Bill Cosby rape allegations.

During an interview with Power 105.1’s the Breakfast Club on Friday, Wayans defended Cosby.

“I don’t believe he was raping.” Wayans said, “I think he was in relationships with all of them.”

Wayans 55, joked that the women turned on Cosby when he was done with them; “They’re like, ‘Oh, really? RAPE.'”

Wayans shared the thoughts of many who are skeptical about the women’s claims: “If you listen to them talk, they go, ‘Well, the first time.’ The first time?! Bitch, how many times did it happen? Just listen to what they’re saying.”

Wayans apologized for saying some of the women were too ugly to rape.

“Some of them, really, is un-rape-able. I look at them and go, ‘No, he don’t want that. Get outta here!'”

He later said, “For anybody who was raped by Bill Cosby, I’m sorry, and I hope you get justice.”

I would just say no comment if asked, especially if you’re Black? Only White folks are entitled to speak freely, even if their opinion is unpopular. The Cosby situation is too contrived and complexed to not expect backlash in some form or another. No matter what side you’re on. It’s like discussing Obama on SR? My long yet still brief view is; I just feel like Bill Cosby has pissed off A LOT of people overtime from being stern about his vision, to being nortiously difficult as he aged, to just being a prick to some people for no reason. Somewhere along the line he pissed off the wrong person or persons and they decided to bury him. For years allegations would pop up and go away after his people hushed it up but now something is different. There is a very strategic and malicious air to this. Whether or not it’s all true I don’t know but I believe quite a bit of it. I think he ran with loose women with loose morals and assumed they’re all the same and pressured them to sleep with him and did drugs with them and they deeply regretted it after. Now some I believe he knew we’re too young and naive and he pushed it to far and took away their right to say no. Do I think he raped all of them no but some of them I truly believe when they speak. I believe they we’re afraid to speak up because he is/was “America’s Dad” which is messed up because it only created an opportunity for more victims to encounter him. I believe half or less than half we’re raped the rest just did something they regret and a smaller few just want the attention or any possible money that can be made. But I’d never say all this in an interview.

Maybe someone with something to lose. Maybe he coerced them. It’s not hard to imagine that someone with a lot of power in the industry could use extortion to get what he wanted. Ok. Speaking as someone who has worked with many rape survivors and victims of sexual abuse/assault, you nor I have any right to say when is the right time for them to talk about it or come out. I have spoken to 40yr olds (as they disclosed this to me) who have sought counseling from a crisis at 2am in the morning over a rape that happened when they were 16. That shit stays with you and you cannot imagine the damage that it does. Speaking about it is HARD, no matter what age and if this is what they need to do in order to get closure or gain some form of peace or just to feel okay, then they should have the right to do so. If it happened to you – if someone violated you in that way, took away your ability to choose, took away your control, or ignored you when you stated no, I think you might feel differently. Not sure how it went down for Bill’s victims, but after you are raped sex becomes so much bigger than it is and it stays with you forever.

Where was the “victims'”respect for Cosby’s wife?

Those “women” were running around with a married man, going to his hotel room, taking “showers” in his presence, and sucking up his drugs. They had no sympathy for Mrs. Cosby and I have no sympathy for them.
