E! Network Renews ‘I Am Cait’ for 2nd Season

Despite low ratings and poor reviews, E! Network has renewed cross-dresser Bruce Jenner’s reality TV show, I Am Cait, for a 2nd season.

The ratings for ‘I Am Cait’ declined week after week, but E! is hoping to recoup the millions they paid Jenner for the 1st season.

Less than 1 million viewers watched the final 2 episodes of the show E! refers to as a “groundbreaking docu-series.”

E!’s EVP of Programming and Development, Jeff Olde, explained why E! is renewing a show that no one watched last season.

“Caitlyn’s story has ignited a global conversation on the transgender community on a scale that has never been seen before. We are honored Caitlyn has chosen to continue to share her ongoing story with our viewers around the world.”

In related news, Jenner is taking his show on the road. Jenner, 65, will go on a speaking tour to inspire other cross-dressers like himself.

In September, a judge approved Jenner’s government name change to “Caitlyn Marie” Jenner.

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for cocaine possession and distribution.

On Wednesday, a Wicomico County jury convicted Bonzie Lee Curtis, 40, of Salisbury, of possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking offense, being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. A Wicomico County Circuit Court judge sentenced Curtis to 30 years in the Maryland Division of Corrections, with 20 years representing a mandatory minimum, non-parole eligible sentence since Curtis is a repeat offender.

The conviction stems from a traffic stop on March 14, when a Salisbury police officer pulled over a car for a traffic violation and noticed the people inside were acting suspicious, police said. The officer brought the K9 over to the car, which alerted to the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, according to police. Officers also said they smelled marijuana coming from the car.

According to police, Curtis was in the front-passenger seat of the car. Inside, officers said they found a sawed-off shotgun with one live shotgun shell concealed in a duffle bag, which was within Curtis’ reach. Officers searched Curtis and found a significant amount of cocaine, and six more shotgun shells hidden in a Crown Royal bag in his pocket, police said.

Prosecutors said Curtis has multiple prior convictions including possession with the intent to distribute a narcotic and illegal possession of a handgun. He also has multiple violations of probation.
