Ciara and Russell Wilson

R&B singer-turned socialite Ciara Harris denies rumors that she subsists on a starvation diet to stay fashion model thin for boyfriend, Russell Wilson.

In an interview with InStyle.com, Ciara explained what she eats on a typical day.

“I typically eat five to eight meals, and it’ll be snacks in between the big meals, with lunch as my biggest of the day,” said the 30-year-old mother of one.

Ciara said she begins her day with a hearty breakfast of egg whites, lean turkey sausage, and a thin stack of gluten-free pancakes.

She said she avoids blood sugar crashes by snacking on fruit between breakfast and lunch. “Lunch will be a grilled chicken with a baked potato and some broccoli, you know, complex carbs and good fiber,” Ciara tells InStyle.

“And for dinner, I may have a pasta, but it will be a healthy version with healthy meats and cleaner, homemade sauces. Everything is sort of a cleaner, better version of the stuff I eat to indulge,” she said.

Ciara says she allows herself to pig out during the holidays. “I love me some good food,” she says. “I love Thanksgiving meals – turkey, candied yams, macaroni and cheese, and my stuffing and cornbread. It’s the ultimate comfort food. Just talking about it, I can’t wait!”

Ciara is currently partnering with Unilever for its #ShareAMeal campaign, to feed the hungry in Seattle, WA., where Wilson is quarterback for the Seahawks.

“I was honestly so excited to get involved, because I’ve always wanted to do something like this, and as a mom, campaigns like this speak to my heart very deeply,” she tells InStyle. “Every day, one in five children suffer from childhood hunger, and knowing that information, I was super excited to use my platform as an entertainer to make a difference.”
