Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey buried her bruised and swollen face in a pillow when she arrived back in Los Angeles after losing her bantamweight title to new UFC champ Holly Holm in Australia on Nov. 15.
Rousey, 28, was rushed from the cage to a hospital, where she was treated for a busted lip among other facial trauma.
Rousey arrived back in LA with her new boyfriend, Travis Browne, who assisted her as she made her way through the throng of paparazzi at LAX Airport.
Among those mocking and taunting Rousey online was bully 50 Cent, who reposted a meme that showed Rousey Photoshopped in the arms of Rocky Balboa.
"LMAO FLOYD TOLD ME TO POST THIS, he want me to do the dirty work," wrote 50 Cent in the photo caption.
But boxer Floyd Mayweather denied Fiddy's allegations. "That's not true at all. I haven't really spoke to anyone about the Ronda Rousey situation, just to set the record straight," he told Fight Hype.
Mayweather took the high road by defending Rousey.
"I don't have anything against MMA fighters. It's just like boxing; you win some, you lose some. A true champion can take a loss and bounce back."
"I don't think it's cool how everyone is trolling her on social media. Certain things you have to learn. People will love you on Friday and then Sunday morning, it's nothing but negative comments and people making jokes and people making fun about you, which I don't think is cool. I've never been on the other side, so I don't know how it feels. I'm pretty sure she's a very, very strong person, but we still have to take into consideration that she has feelings."
