Naw been pretty much skinny AND tall all my life and owned it. Biggest size I ever got was a 8. Now I’m a 4 in the waist, 6 in the thighs. For health concerns, society needs to ask why so many African American girls and women are overweight, fat, obese? It is a serious health concern.

They do this a lot in the Caribbean. Especially on the small islands of places like Bahamas. They commit crimes against tourists (drug and rape, theft, even murder) and they take pictures and make videos of crimes and make memes as trophies. It’s entertainment for low moral people.

There are many, many Black women that aren’t obese. But I’m sure your hatin’ jealous @ss knows this.

Lack of access to healthy foods (not many fresh food grocery stores in the hood, more fast food/liquor stores than anything) , miseducation about how to eat healthy (some people just don’t understand that you have to eat vegetables and fruits), This type of unhealthy eating is then taught to kids ), and affordability issues (some people can’t afford to pay for the cost of healthier options). It’s all about food inequality.

There must be a way to make healthy food information and options available. But obesity is not just a struggle for women of color in the hood. There is a link between obesity and stress of oppression and food as comfort. Alternatives to food for healing stress would make a great difference. The blogs could post recipes and exercise videos.
