Man Kills Waffle House Employee Over Cigarette Dispute

A Biloxi, Mississippi man shot and killed a Waffle House employee after she asked him to put out his cigarette inside the restaurant.

According to WLOX, Johnny Max Mount was smoking a cigarette inside the Biloxi Waffle House when a female employee asked him to extinguish the cigarette.

After the 52-year-old employee asked Mount to put out his cigarette, he went to his car and retrieved a handgun. Mount returned to the restaurant, and shot the employee.

She was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Mount was arrested at the restaurant, and is being held in jail without bond.

You can’t smoke in most restaurants. I dont recall ever dining in any restaurant, $-$$$$, that allowed smoking. I think he was just looking for an excuse to kill somebody and she gave him one.

My mom started as a corrections nurse in the Cook County jail. She was attacked twice. After the last incident, she quit, went to medical school, and became a psychiatrist.

In the early years, she worked for several mental health clinics and hospitals. Later, she took a position as a medical director at an insurance company.

I kind of followed in her footsteps, because I am also in healthcare, but I’m on the business end. I don’t want to deal with patients or their family members. I’m strictly a numbers and money man.

Trust workers comp isn’t something to relax over. Besides the payment is cheaper with her being dead but knowing the law. This incident is a 3rd party claim. The company would deny her family workers comp based on facts. Then if she decides to sue comp court would suggest she sue him first but this is definitely a court case.
