Mary-Kate Olsen married her father figure, Olivier Sarkozy, who is 17 years older than her.

The former child star reportedly married Sarkozy in a smoke-filled apartment in Manhattan on Friday, according to the NY Post.

Olsen, 29, and Sarkozy, 46, began dating when Olsen was still in diapers. Just kidding. The couple were engaged in 2014 after dating for 2 years.

According to a Page Six source the wedding decor was “bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes, and everyone smoked the whole night.”

The wedding is the first for Olsen and Sarkozy’s 2nd. He has 2 children with his previous wife, noted children’s author Charlotte Bernard.

Sarkozy is the brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

After TV sitcom Full House was cancelled in 1995, Mary-Kate and her twin sister Ashley Olsen took up fashion design. They have since built a billion dollar fashion empire, including affordable fashion lines for consumers with tight budgets.

Olsen and Sarkozy recently purchased a $13.5 million townhouse in midtown Manhattan.

Mary-Kate is probably more mature than a typical 29 year old girl just based on her life and she most likely have more things in common with an older guy.

I’m 41 now, but every since as a teen, I’ve been an old soul. I fell head over heels for a guy who was 30 years older than me. I was 30 at the time and he was 60, but he was very fit and looked 10-20 years younger. When we would go out, I would go to open his car door, but he would stop me and say, “No, I will do that when you’re with me.”. I wasn’t use this. This older man show me what is was like to be truly romanced and treated like a lady. From the onset he told me he didn’t want anything serious and I think it was because he just divorced his wife a year prior, so I knew what I was getting into, but I fell for him hard and told him I wanted more, but he reminded me what he said. But of course, I’m thinking he would change his mind and of course that didn’t happen and left me with a broken heart. But I couldn’t be mad at him, he was upfront with me at the beginning.

So I stopped all communication with him so I could let go of my feelings. It was hard because he and I met through our Alumni Chapter and used to work on many projects together. But I stopped attending those functions too. I haven’t dated since him which is going on 9 years. I just feel most guys I see or meet especially in my age range, just don’t compare to what I experienced with him. Why settle for beer when I tasted champagne lol!!
