Christmas gifts

A British mom who spent $2,000 on Christmas gifts for her 3 children is defending her "materialistic" spending spree.

Emma Tapping posted a picture of her Christmas tree surrounded by piles of Christmas gifts for her 3 kids. The photo went viral and Tanning is forced her parenting skills.

A week after she posted the photo on Facebook, someone tagged the photo with the caption: "It's nearly time for all the materialistic parents to compete and broadcast how many presents their kids have. Just remember, there are a lot of children who won't get much."

But Tapping denies she is materialistic or overindulging her children with unnecessary presents.

"I know this page is going to get busier and I know I am in the papers today so I thought I would set people straight on a few facts," Tapping wrote in a Facebook post.

"The presents under the tree are for my children, myself, my partner and my mother, not just the kids," she wrote. "Please try and remember this is about 3 little children, their christmas, their tree. Feel free to share. Merry Christmas xxxxx."

Is she wrong? Do you feel guilty when you overspend on Christmas gifts for your children?

  • harley_quinn2.0

If she wants to spend 3k then that's her perogative

  • Wuts got Petty Davis Eyes..

If you have it like that.. If the kids know the value of money, If they have balance in their lives, If tomorrow you ain't on the Kona sellin azz to make up for it..then do you...

  • Low E. {CIRCA 1908}

I WON'T - BUT SHE AIN'T ME. SO I'M NOT KNOCKING HER SENTIMENTS. A LOT OF IT LOOKS LIKE CLOTHES THO...

  • Shantonda

Wealthy ppl buy their children just as much and more. Let her do her thing! Seriously! Ppl stay trying to parent others' children and live others' lives via judgments and opinions. RE-%@&$#-LAX I SAY!!

  • Cricket404

She should have bought a bigger tree, ijs.

  • CJ413

Well damn, if you got the money to do it, who is anyone to judge??

  • Buttercup

It gives me anxiety just thinking about where all of that stuff will be stored.

  • That’s Interesting

From what I can see of the house, and especially judging by that tree, she doesn't look like she has 3,000 dollars to spend on presents. She also must be white. If she were black, this write-up would be completely different...

  • Shantonda

the gifts are the tree lolol

  • That’s Interesting

    I thought the same thing!

  • Teide_luv

    Her money.

  • LibraGirlonly

That's on her but no way would I do my money like that. The kids will never play with all of those toys and what about teaching them that Christmas is about giving not receiving. She could have donated to A few kids that don't have a Christmas. What a shame .

  • True

Buying the gifts is one thing. The real question is why people like to post pictures of mounds of gifts? What are you really trying to do with a photo showing gifts stacked so high you can't even see the damn tree? Overcompensation for lacking in other departments? Or do you get off by bragging on social media like a teenager? Like, who does this??

  • Torae

I wouldn't want to be there to clean all that paper up. I go over board for Christmas not 3k but I spend a lot. Before Christmas I make my daughter donate toys to Purple Heart every year. I know how it feels to have an empty Christmas. I used to pray on Christmas Eve that there was really a Santa and I would wake up to presents never happened lol just my drunk mother coming in at 4am lol. Me and my sisters had a hand me down mini tree and we would wrap empty boxes and put them under the tree. We did that every year.

  • Alicia.Ashe

This was posted on Facebook a stream of people were saying what she should do with her money. It's her money her kids, don't know her financial situation and it ain't my business.

  • BillieGean

I spend more than that on 3kids. My money my business. She can spend her money any way she pleases. Merry Christmas

  • LibraGirlonly

    Awwwwwwww

  • Go Head With That

Nope. I don't. Because when I couldn't buy a lot when my children were smaller they didn't complain once. That was the best gift I could receive. I shop wisely but I never feel bad because I'm not obligated to do it. Im always happy that I can. Her picture. Her children. Her money. Her choice. I keep saying people always worrying about the wrong thing.

  • Go Head With That

    Well said!

  • hotntot95

Lol...mine didn't get the real Christmas until that tax refund hit in February. He turned out just fine.

  • WhooCares

Thank you. I think the picture is tacky.

  • LibraGirlonly

I could spend that much but I won't. Not for one day. I tell people all the time don't start something you can't finish. Sometimes you can give a kid too much and it can ruin them but hey it's her money and her life.

  • southern

That's her money not mine and she can choose to spend it however she likes.it's really no one's business.is the amount she spent on her Facebook page.how do people know how much she spent

  • southern

That's the real problem where we bout to put all this crap

  • LibraGirlonly

Yep I just straight up told my 12 yr old that I didn't feel like it was anything left to buy him and he agreed. He just want money for game cards. I am Christmas shopping for a young lady that has seven kids. My family decided to help her out rather than buying gifts for each other.

  • lil goodie

I have 3 and that's about what I send every year....dont see anything wrong with it..ijs

  • hotntot95

And that's what it's supposed to be about always..love, giving and family...kids remember moments you spend with them not material possessions.

  • Reina1718

Some parents spend $3000 on just 2 gifts, how bout $300 for sneakers & the kids failing in school

  • Milani

If she can afford to spend all that money on her babies, that's on her...but she needs to go sit TF down somewhere because she posted this pic on FB talking bout look at what I bought, but then turned around and said it's nobody's business what she spends on her kids...maybe if you didn't flap your gums on FB about it, nobody would have known.

I wouldn't post all this online, especially since break-ins are on the rise near the Christmas season...but that's just me :tea:

  • lil goodie

I can afford it...thank GOD...it really isn't bad off you save throughout the year.... (what I do) that earned income credit on taxes...spend it on who you got it for...kids...

  • LibraGirlonly

I picked the two younger girls so I can buy dolls and such. I have boys so I never get to buy girl toys. I want to buy the Little pets . They are sooo cute.

  • lil goodie

    Now that's a no no!!!

  • True

But nobody wanna post pics of their kids report cards..... or their credit score after the holidays LOL

  • SugarFoot a.k.a Ty

Right because folks will take all of her gifts and the tree. Especially those that have to post their every location on social media (just left dinner on the way to the movies) :coffee:

  • LibraGirlonly

    LMAO!!!!!

  • Wuts got Petty Davis Eyes..

I don't knock her. But I was a smart mom.. I when they were little and didn't really know I would get a couple of good gifts, and spend like 60 bucks at Family Dollar with small toys..they broke all that shyt just the same. When they got older I would hone in on what they wanted and try to get a few of their likes and clothes. But then when they were all in high school i was like what yall want they were like Money and games. My lil wutt wanted nail polish and makeup..son J's oldest Money. so..

  • Ridingfinest

I wish I had it to spend on my family but I don't so they will get one gift each! If she got it to spend its her dime...why you mad!!

  • LibraGirlonly

I hear ya. I can't get earned income credit but it's cool. As long as they stay grounded its all good. i do spend a lot of money ion my 12 yr old all year so I won't be spending much during Christmas.

  • 1/8

It all depends on how much money she makes and whether or not her children have a college/trust fund.

  • Sincerity7

Honestly, $2,000-$3,000 can be spent quickly. Maybe she was buying the presents throughout the year. Her money. Her kids.

  • LibraGirlonly

I would say that's a pretty awesome Christmas gift. I'm saving to go to LA this summer and I want to go to Jamaica.

  • LibraGirlonly

Probably. They could be cheap gifts.

  • LuvMyBrownSkin?

Her children are lucky and it's her money but hopefully she can continue to do it each year. If not hopefully the children won't be devastated.

  • Tammie Reed

I pass out envelopes and gift cards, barely put up a tree, not in the mood for all of that and cleaning up all that garbage, my kids are older so they just want the mula so they can go get what they want anyway lol.

Off the topic, a great Christmas present would be to pull your holiday budget (bonuses)between two or three relatives who are responsible and get along and buy income property. That's what I did. I don't personally celebrate Christmas but when my ex-husband wrote a check for our son I opened a bank account for him. People can do whatever they want with their money but be careful how they might influence how you spend yours.

  • Empress

BTW there are a several excellent no money down programs for single family homes in the States, contact your local agent or search for them online. You can always do a garage conversion later for added income.

  • Prettybootnikki

My husband went to toys r us with our five year old last weekend. Big mistake. Lol. They walked out the store with all of his Christmas gifts and the deal was for my son to wrap them and put them under the tree and wait until Christmas to open what he picked out. I was so hot and bothered. I told my husband I'm taking my things back to toys r us to get my money back. He doesn't need all of that. And on top of that he bought him a driving wheel and two games for the play station and let him play with it now instead of waited no until Christmas. I am just too through.

Why should she defend anything she is doing for her children? If she can do it, so what? Christmas is a pagan materialistic holiday regardless and many people spend that amount for far less. Since she has so many items, It's probably small gifts, definitely not game consoles?

Did she spend $3k or $2k? Whatever she spent, it's her money. My mom spent a fortune on me every year for Christmas, and I'm her only child. Stop counting what's in other people's pockets and get your isht together.

  • eljjai

Yeah, she's going to really regret her parenting choices in a couple of years.
I know a woman who used to do this all the time. Get her kid whatever she wanted whenver she wanted, now that child is a 23 year old nightmare. I don't want her in my house, life, space or anything. When she enters, I exit. She makes her mother's life a living hell.

  • IntroSpective

I feel guilty when I overspend on Christmas. However, I donated many toys to children before Christmas and will donate any extra, duplicate or unwanted items prior to gift giving.

  • Meme81

Well, she can do what she wants. But just think of how great a lesson it would've been if she bought those gifts and took them to less fortunate kids on Christmas. That would've been a great opportunity to teach her kids about giving and how good it feels.

  • Meme81

The gotcha is her kids probably won't care about 90% of the gifts. Kids nowadays only want electronics, money or a bike, hoverboard, etc.

  • the guest

Exactly. Why are people so hateful? This family is entitled to buy their children as many Christmas presents as they wish. If you think about it $3000 is really not a lot to spend on Christmas considering buying one quality gaming system or tablet can run near $1000. When you add clothing and toys, the average family spends at least $2000 which can be saved over 10 months in a Christmas Club account.

Even poor children in urban inner cities have $200 sneakers.

  • Meme81

I tell my sister to stop posting when she's out of town ALL the time, but she doesn't listen.

  • the guest

My goodnes give people a little more credit than to prostitute themselves to purchase Christmas for their children. Everyday working people who place their children as a priority save all year to indulge their children at Christmas. $3000 averages under $300 a month annual savings for Christmas. $75 a week is not too much to set aside during the year to give children a beautiful Christmas.

I live in the Caribbean so I am with you on that. I'm building my carib house now, BUT I still invested in the States. I want to see my people getting back into home ownership again because that builds wealth. I have student loans too. There are ways to overcome your student loan debt and still buy. I like to laugh and carry on crazy(maybe a bit ignorant when I have PmS) on this blog sometimes but I am serious about this topic, don't let ANYTHING destroy your dream. Even if you buy in States, flip the home and use the profit to help building your dream home abroad. A few online searches about buying when you have outstanding student loans will point you in the right direction. Bless wishes!

It's ironic that not all white people are rich but their standard of middle class is different. White people can own a large house, a vacation home, cars for each member of the family, have an eight figure inheritance in the bank, college trusts from the grandparents for each of the children and still feel they are impoverished. I don't think this mother sees herself as rich at all. I think she sees her amount of gifts as average.

  • CJ413

What does it matter whether she does or doesn't?? It's her money she's spending... Not yours

  • SunnyChi

That's insane, but who can tell a parent how much to spend on their kids. No one.

But she also could have blessed many other kids.

  • That’s Interesting

I agree and disagree. White people do have a different idea of what middle class is. Studies have proven this. A lot of Black people who "ball" with their salaries, a White person would consider themselves poor with the same salary. With that said, the type of White people that you speak of are not middle class, they are upper middle class, and they still would not buy presents like this woman did. In fact, she's acting like the stereotype of the lower middle class, not even middle class, attributed to Black people, spending above their means. I will even take it a step further and say ghetto. That's why I said the write-up would be different if she was Black. Simply from the looks of her Christmas tree and what I see of her house, she does not own a large home. The way she spent all that money on small gifts, I can assume she has no inheritance or college fund. The fact that she broadcasted it lets me know she doesn't consider her gifts as "average." I think most Black people will admit that a lot of Black people have the tendency to spend above their means. This White woman seems to have that same problem, and a lot White people do. People just tend to assume they have more money than they actually do, when a lot of the time, they don't. That's why I said the write-up would be different if she were Black.

  • PROPHETMAJOR

Exactly!!! And what are they proving by doing it? My kids know I'm not about to entertain this bull! I teach them about giving back and what they need to do to survive. People think I'm the crazy one because I didn't go Christmas shopping. ?

  • the guest

What I noted was the inexpensive wrapping paper. There are a lot of gifts but the presentation is average. $3000 is just not an enormous amount of money to spend on Christmas. Some families spend that on decor. It's all relative I guess.

Whatever race, families are entitled to spend as much and buy as many gifts as they please for thier children.

As far as what you consider to be upper, middle, or lower middle class, the truth is social classes are relative and shifting. A 3500 sq ft home was once considered middle class standard is now upper middle class.

As far as white people having more money than black people, economic disparity due to racism systemically tips the scales of wealth in the favor of whites. However having more money does not automatically mean more educated, classed, or cultured.

There is also a system of "white middle and upper middle class welfare" meaning white families that earn average salaries are supplemented by their children's grandparents who pay the family's mortgage, car payments, kids private school tuition, family recreational memberships, and a personal EBT program in the form of gift cards to high end grocers. Leaving middle income white families with more disposable income.

Middle income black families are more likely to be taking care of their parents and possibly other relatives as well rather than the other way around.

Thank you SR for permitting dialogue on how race affects the perception of economics.

  • BreakingGoood

3k for 3 kids is not a lot. Maybe I'm crazy. ? And she must really know how to shop because that's a great amount of gifts. My 3K would've been 3 items. LOL

  • http://www.iamchloebarksdale.com Chloe Barksdale

Let me say that I personally feel she went BEYOND overboard. What lesson are we teaching our children by giving them everything they want and ridiculously way more than they need? As much I have my issues with Bill Cosby, right now I must make reference to the show where he stated, "Me and your mom are rich? You kids are not." Which was to say, we have worked hard to EARN the things that we have, and as parents it is our duty to teach you to do the same. Yes, we can afford to give you everything you desire, but how can we teach you to value what you work for, if we do that? People who have everything come easy for them are the ones that have the hardest time dealing with life disappointments and are more likely to turn to unhealthy means to do whatever it is to maintain a certain level of life style that they were GIVEN and never had to earn. This is why our kids show no VALUE in anything, including human life.

  • WhatHaveYouDoneForMeLately?

All of that was only 3k? More power to her.

  • ?Patty Kakes?

She shouldn't have posted it on IG. she should'a known she was gonna get a lot of back lash. No matter what you do on IG, someone always find the wrong in it.

  • justsayin

God bless you and your family. One the best acts of kindness I have heard of all year. Thank you. Merry Christmas

  • PrettyBrown28

So you gather all that by looking at a picture? The way you're going on, I would think you are a friend of the family. That's the problem with people now...too busy drawing conclusions with no shred of evidence simply because YOU CAN'T DO IT. You're worried about how her house looks...and it's probably paid for.

  • PrettyBrown28

I'm looking at some of these bitter comments and smh. Worrying about how her house looks, talking about her financial situation like y'all sleeping with her. This woman probably doing better than all of you with her basic house and tree.

  • That’s Interesting

Don't go there. You're right I don't know this woman, nor do I care about her. You need to pump your breaks. You know less about me than I know about her. You must spend above your means...huh?

  • PrettyBrown28

Don't need to...I'm running my own race. So I don't have time to right a thesis on why someone is spending $3000 of their own money on their own kids. My attitude says Good for her. Your attitude says I wish I could.

  • imright

    thats her money

  • That’s Interesting

That's your perception because that's your mentality. I won't elaborate on that. I wrote no thesis on WHY she spent 3000 dollars on gifts then proceeded to post it on social media. Again, you're ASSuming what I can and cannot buy, but again, that's your mentality.

  • PrettyBrown28

Call me whatever you want...say whatever you want...at the end of the day...somebody else's money got you all hot and bothered.

  • That’s Interesting

But the thing is, I'm neither hot nor bothered. You are. Something about MY post upset YOU. You have a blessed night though, and whatever I post that's not directed towards you, don't let that bother you.

  • PrettyBrown28

As I said before..,say whatever you want...the fact remains. Be blessed as well. #theend

  • That’s Interesting

Yes, the facts do remain. Bird logic 101: somebody has an opinion different from me, doesn't like/agree with something that I do, or makes a judgement that I don't agree with, then they are a.) jealous/a hater b.)mad cause they can't do the same thing, etc. or c.) an angry hater who's mad because they can't do xyz.... EVERYTIME there's somebody like YOU saying the same asinine things and making the same asinine assumptions. Just waiting and watching to pounce. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/d4f289e85672f9722c2155aba2f2a5efb78dbdd84bb7e706b7be0ec7734d86e0.gif

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

She knew she was going to get some flack but she choose to post her business online.

But those much have been some cheap presents. LOL

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

She just made herself a target for burglary.

    Dumb b!tch!!

  • Brenda Martin

the picture wasn't about her or her gifts. It was found on google and just used to make a meme telling people not to brag so much on social media because some families can't afford as much and it makes the kids feel bad.. She was not tagged or mentioned on the post until she chose to bring herself into the limelight. I feel like that was her intention from the beginning. People who need to post stuff like this to validate their behavior need to take a long hard look at themselves.

  • sealsaa

More power to her but it wouldn't be me.

  • I cAll ThE sHoTs…

Put the Christ back in Christmas. Down with materialism!

  • Pebbles

Adults need to stop explaining...She doesn't own anyone an explanation about how she spends her money....point blank period!!!!

  • CosmoBeauty

I just wonder if she wrapped all those ?'s by herself? ?????

  • the guest

    Great comment.

  • the guest

This is the best kind of Christmas gift. Travel.

  • TANYA INGRAM

Personally i think spending that much money on Christmas presents is too excessive but at least she didn't spend the money on drugs and smoke it up.

  • That’s Interesting

I make twice that in one month and I'm still young. I have no kids to buy Christmas gifts for. To me, a penny saved is a penny earned. I can literally buy what I WANT when I want, but I don't. Not saying that I'm rich, but for my circumstamces, I'm doing great, and I'm smart with my money. I understand that having extra money doesn't mean I have to spend it, and that what I make is not really a lot of money. I buy wonderful gifts for my loved ones, but I don't just do the most. For example, I have made my mom very happy by buying her things that she actually needed like a washer/dryer and when I was only in college, a refrigerator. I am able to give her money every month and that makes me feel great. I don't try to floss. If I did have three kids and a "partner," I would not want to buy a bunch of crap to stack in front of my crap tree and then brag about it on Facebook. Please tell me what's special about that? In fact, its beyond TACKY. And please stop assuming all White people have money. Thats what irked me in my longer post.

  • Buttercup

We purge before Christmas, in the Spring, and in the Fall. That's a ton of stuff to clear out.

  • Lulu

She can do whatever she wants; however she posted it to get attention and brag to the world....narcissism, the gift that keeps on giving and taking....

  • Sriracha In My Bag

I just don't understand why people can't just scroll past something they don't agree with...on social media..It's not that serious.

Also, people are just focusing on the amount of gifts (which it looks like she probably bought a lot of little things). Because 3000 could have easily been spent on about 10-20 gifts (depending on what she bought) and no one would care.

  • Jozie723

Ummm did she shop at Dollar General. I mean the gifts my children are asking for are almost $100.00 each. How did she get THAT many gifts for only $3,000.

  • Joyce Jones

The only people that would take offense are people who are jealous or too wrapped up in what other people do. What she buys with her money is her business. Carry on

  • softness1

You're so right. I have 2 boys.. Between the xbox one, 2 hoverboards, go pro, games for the xbox & ps3, clothes & shoes I'm near that.. Without the amount of packages. She must have bought inexpensive gifts because how'd so get so much for only $3,000.. Impossible

  • the guest

Thank you. That's exactly what I meant. With an iPad upgrade and a gaming laptop not even including some new PS4 games, we are near there. I agree what did she buy to have so many presents?

  • Justlooking2SayIT

Yeah, it's just alot of stuff. Guess it depends on the ages. When my son was small his list wasikebana 100 items and in never bought everything.

  • Love Lisa

It must be $10-20 gifts in each of those packages.

  • MzFutureLCSW

As long as all the bills are paid......................................"kayne shrug".
I do think it is wasteful and gives the wrong message regarding CHRISTmas, but................................................................."kayne shrug".

  • WetPntees

*attention* (your'e welcome...) Tis' the season to be jolly, and I feel like spreading a little holiday auto-spell cheer! Enjoy! (guzzles eggnog)

  • free

who wrapped all that lil azz shyt?

  • Mela Reign

If she has everything else in order, bills, food and the likes so what. If she only spent $50 dollars on them people would still have something to say. I promise you some people worry about the wrong things. Would I spend $2000/$3000 on my kids if I had any who knows? But I 'm not her and it's not my money , so spend away chica!

  • Mela Reign

My point exactly, the nerve of some people.

  • Mela Reign

    Right! :)

  • Mela Reign

Just looking at the photo again, my goodness them babies are going to be unwrapping gifts up until New Years! LMBO!

  • SpillyNillie

It's hurz, she can spend it how she likes it...

  • bh

Its wasteful but her choice.. Hope her kid$ future is secured... Still her choice tho..

  • Pooh

What is the big deal? I spend that amount on one kid. *shrug*

  • Sinny

*you'RE* welcome, as well. ? Can't troll someone and be all loud and wrong!

  • E Love

I believe Wuts was simply being funny...

  • Sheyonce

LMAO!!! I was entertained by the debate (both of you wanting the last word), but this my friend is hilarious! Had to stop and comment.

Okay, back to the "debate" ....*scrolls down and keeps reading*

  • Sheyonce

EXACTLY!! The parents are worse than the kids with the bragging. Btw...this IS how folks get robbed. Might not want to broadcast what you have, just a thought....

  • the guest

Goodness gracious I hope so. Thank you for your taking time to respond. Very appreciated.

  • Shantonda

5 love languages..... how ppl show appreciation. So i see what you mean but hey that's how some ppl want to be shown that they are cared about or that they care about someone else.

  • the guest

I think your being thrifty and industrious is wonderful. I think you should also read thoroughly before responding. I did not state all white people have money. I stated that economic disparity due to racism tips the scales of wealth in whites favor. It is an unfortunate fact that white people are paid higher salaries than black people. I've managed in high end retail years ago before marriage and recall my district office insisting on paying whites more even by $1.00 in some cases on racist principle. The economics of racism are real and not to be overlooked.

  • shaybytheway

I wish a ninja would try to tell me what to spend my hard earned money on -_-

  • Genia Gouch

i wouldn't allow the general public make me feel any sort of way about what i choose to do for my family. Who cares. I wonder if the person who criticized sent gifts to the kids going without? Don't talk about it be about it.

  • Genia Gouch

that's what im thinking....and who says she isn't one of those people who pick up things through out the year. I have a friend that does that. She is constantly buying things on sale through out the entire year for Christmas. She has a closet in her home strictly for those items.

  • stanley

Her kids are going be F*Ked up in the head, thinking everything should be giving to them. But hey, it's her life lol

  • E Love

    Welcome...

  • Rhyme and Reason

You're right, those are a lot of reasonably priced gifts, coupon clipping, clearance sales, etc. She also has gifts for others. Those kids probably won't open all their gifts for weeks. They usually stop after they find something they really like when there's so much. I bet she doesn't buy $200 sneakers either!

  • JustCoastWitHa

she doesn't have to explain anything

  • WetPntees

I wasn't loud, and putting an apostrophe in the wrong place and just misspelling something are 2 ENTIRELY different things boo! Thanks tho, glad my skin is so soft yet so TOUGH!!!! Carry on with your day..

  • Tisha

I Hate When People Wrap Clothes without Boxes....ijs

  • Low E. {CIRCA 1908}

LOL KIDS NEED CLOTHES THO...IT'S KEEPS ON GIVING WHEN YOU HAVE MULTIPLES! BAHAHAHA

  • Lolalao

    Exactly

  • HOPoutWITthaThiccnez

That's how I did it up last year,, Now this year I'm not even having Christmas at my house...

  • yelpforhelp

Why is someone irked about someone else's coin? My question to the people whose sugar level is going up by the minute-Does she owe you $20 or what?

  • yelpforhelp

She could post it, saying 'Look at God!!!!' She could post it because she is thankful nobody knows what her circumstances are or have been. That moment when we can't celebrate someone else's blessings (me included) is bitter for us.

  • sunni_daze

As long as she still teaches her children the reason for the season, its her wallet and her her kids.

  • SpeaksTruth

To each his/her own!! I've spent that much on one child (shrugs). Granted it was my first born and the only child for 5 years but I also didn't post it for the world as it wasn't for anyone but my child. It is what it is....

  • NMusic

3k is not a lot of money to spend on kids for Christmas.

  • AListDiva29

Who knows she might of saved all year round or bought a few gifts every month til she ended up with that much! If u aren't the one paying, then why should u care?! I'd rather give my kids a lot of gifts at Christmas, and on they're bday then have them be brats and expect toys and other crap all year round just cuz they want it!

  • the guest

Kids want what they want and the new technologies are not cheap. I'm feeling bad because there aren't a lot of boxes. But they're getting what they want the new iPad, a gaming laptop, and PS4 games which are up to $40-60 each. I always do books as well. Love buying books for gifts. And they gotta open the books first and better act grateful to get the "good stuff" lol.

I want this woman to post her kids opening all those presents cause I really want to see how she spread $3,000.

  • the guest

    Merry Christmas

  • the guest

It's good for the soul. I like to donate to churches that have rummage sales or in house thrift shop that resell really cheap because I think struggling folks want the dignity of shopping too.

  • the guest

Am I the only one who's weary of posting on social media when my family is away from home. I think it's dangerous.

  • the guest

One "material" gift each. But the greatest gift is having a family. Yours is blessed.

  • the guest

    YES!!!

  • Traci404

    "Buy me something"......
I am not sure that's what Baby Jesus came into this world for.
We have gone off the rails!
