Donald Trump and Muhammad Ali

Donald Trump has come under fire (again) for a making a factually incorrect statement.

The presidential frontrunner live-tweeted Obama’s Oval Office address on Sunday night. During his address, Obama noted that “Muslim-Americans are our friends and our neighbors, our co- workers, our sports heroes.”

But Trump scoffed at Obama, implying that there are no Muslim-American sports heroes. “What sport is he talking about, and who?” He added “Is Obama profiling?” Trump tweeted.

The mainstream media responded by digging through their archives for photos of Trump accepting his Muhammad Ali Award during a ceremony 7 years ago.

Ali changed his name from Cassius Clay shortly after defeating Sonny Liston for the world heavyweight championship in 1964. Ali joined the Nation of Islam after making a pilgrimage to Mecca in 1972.
