Tamera Mowry-Housley's daughter Ariah Housley

Tamera Mowry-Housley reads the blogs. We know this because it’s rare that she allows her infant daughter, Ariah, to be photographed.

According to gossipmongers, Tamera’s husband, Fox News correspondent Adam Housley, took issue with people who questioned his daughter’s paternity because she is darker than her brother, Aiden.

This led to speculation that Ariah’s father was black. As you know, Housley is Caucasian and Tamera is biracial.

So, in order to silence the gossipmongers, Tamera’s co-host on ‘The Real’, Loni Love, posted this Instagram image of herself holding baby Ariah.

But the photo appears to be altered or Photoshopped to make Ariah’s skin much lighter than her hands. Or maybe she’s wearing light makeup?

At any rate, the photo did nothing to quiet the speculation and rumors on social media.

This serves as a cautionary tale to other celebrities to keep your children off social media.

  • Nanny

So dumb. My mom is dark and her sister has white skin. Some have never taken a biology class

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

Oh gawd she is gorgeous …. Love the juicy babies …. something about those thighs and cheeks … melts me

  • Let Your Soul Glow

Baby Ariah is a cutie patootie!

  • That’s Interesting

So cute! A lil Black goes a long way…

  • Let Your Soul Glow

You want to babysit a juicy baby? I can send Soul6months right on over! Just feed her and she’s good. :)

  • MUNCHOSGIRL

Why would she be the same complexion as her brother? My son and daughter have the same parents, one dark as night and the other is a caramel brown….Tamera’s mother is not light skinned, if they knew how genetics worked this wouldn’t even be an issue.

  • That’s Interesting

    Nope.

  • Hater

    Absolutely!

  • Yardgirl

Awwww, what a pretty baby!! Tamera’s mom is a beautiful dark skinned woman. The baby is a combination of her mixed heritage. Manufactured social media rumors. Tuh!

  • Jennifer Hudson’s Knees

I wanna pinch her cheeks! So cute! Tamera was the only reason why i watched that show. But Tamar is just loud & unbearable, Loni is far from funny (fat shames herself so no-one else will), and Adrienne talks like she has a lot of spit in her mouth. Jeanie is okay, just a little extra. All they do is talk over each other.

Chile both kids are gorgeous … he took issue with racist talking bad about people he loves …. we need more people out here like this …. Well done Hubby Adam …. I would set shyt straight too …. beautiful family …. and very inspiring … sn (Take color out of the equation) these twins have dealt with the mess on both realms …. not dark enough … night white enough …. dead this mess … heads to lunch for real now….

  • Sriracha In My Bag

This entire write up is just one big *sigh*

  • SummerBaby

Beautiful baby! I get so sick of folks that didn’t take or pay attention in biology class dayum. Growing up teachers always assumed my mom wasn’t my mom because she’s light skin with green eyes.

  • Iscream

First time I ever heard this rumor. I see her post the baby on IG often.

Now Loni on the other hand…..

  • Sriracha In My Bag

On a petty note, I just want to spray some makeup setting spray on all that powder on Loni’s face.

  • http://www.sandrarose.com Django the God

Ion know… She does have LeBron James hairline…

  • Buttercup

Maybe I should go get lunch before my ovaries start going crazy.

  • SummerBaby

The baby isn’t even that much darker than her brother. She just has darker hair & eyes.

  • Handle your issues

My son is lite skin with grey green eyes. Both his father and I are Brown skinned. But both of our mothers are fair skin, his mother has grey eyes. My mom’s are dark blue. As a African American woman, you can have any shade in the rainbow.

  • iWasteTime

Chile and we can’t have babies! Zika!
    you get your message?

  • Cricket404

I’ll never forget eavesdropping on a conversation that 3 white girls were having at Planned Parenthood. They were bickering about whose baby looked the blackest and had the curliest hair, they one with the brown skinned baby was the envy of them all. I guess it’s the opposite with black women. Jeesh!

  • Jozie723

My face is lighter than the rest of my body…. I thought everyone shared that experience. The girl looks more like her mother and the boy looks more like his father. People are silly.

  • http://www.sandrarose.com Django the God

So African American is pretty much synonymous with biracial?

  • stav

Omg! That sounds so stupid ! That cutie does not have on makeup , and this photo has no been photoshopped to change her complexion. Nothing else to blog about I guess.

  • SugarFoot a.k.a Ty

    Cosign….but this gif though lmao

  • Bam Bam Li

Smh, my brother skin is silky dark and I’m pasty as hell. People can only tell we are related because we both look EXACTLY like my father who is very dark too. My daughter came out looking damn FULL Asian despite the fact my husband is half Asian but can pass as black. Gentics like to play games like that, but of course anything to gossip about I guess -_- lol

  • Buttercup

    Say that!

  • SugarFoot a.k.a Ty

    Such a cutie :)

  • Alicia.Ashe

Long looks a mess. But that baby is too cute.

  • Bam Bam Li

Making me want another!!!….well maybe through surrogacy lol

  • TROLLSSuckballSax

they are biracial kids. Mama’s genes prevail with Ariah and Aden is dominated by his father’s dna big deal

  • That’s Interesting

I used to get so sick of the…do you have different fathers? Really?! Some Black people act so stupid when it comes to genetics and skin color…

  • http://batman-news.com Mama Dee’s Wig Maker

    Hey cute little chubby baby!

  • SpillyNillie

Say whet? My face is lighter than my hands…and I’m 100% black…this is ridiculous.

    She’s a cutiepatootie!!

  • TheRealLee

When will people get it that the appearance of biracial people, one can look like one or the other parent or even both. It’s called gene expression. Kid might have very dark skin with blue eyes, and you can have a white looking child or a black looking child, both 100% siblings. Why question parentage. It’s so ignorant.

  • http://www.sandrarose.com Django the God

My half brother look like my twin, except he dark.

    Genes. #strongstrong

  • Kim

It’s not rare that Tamera let’s her daughter be photographed.I follow her on IG there are dozens of photos of Ariah including a cover of a magazine.Ariah is darker than her brother ,so what? If Adam wanted white kids he would have married a white woman.

  • SugarFoot a.k.a Ty

Yup, pretty much. Eventually the African has to be removed and we will all be Americans.

  • Buttercup

I talked to Honey Dip last night about what happened when he was here (being nasty and I was late starting my BC). He said, “We’ll leave it up to nature.” I think I’ll take that stance on the Zika thing. If I get pregnant, I’ll be more cautious.

I did get it. Thank you so much!!!!! *hugs and kisses everywhere* LOL

  • Blaque Mahogany

The baby is adorable. It’s not rare for a baby’s hands or ears to be darker than the body. Smh.

Anyways, more importantly, her husband is a FOX “news” contributor. Barf.

  • http://www.sandrarose.com Django the God

It’s true in a lot of cases though. It’s common.

  • SugarFoot a.k.a Ty

    Right….

  • Milani

Wook at those chubby wittle cheeks!!! I can’t wait to go home and play with my little man now…

  • Kim

I don’t know, ask our biracial president who people have no issue calling African American?

  • Bam Bam Li

People look at my daughter and ask if I’m her mother….this is my first time as a parent and lord knows I’m trying to be patient with the ignorance lol. You see her calling me Mama, what do you think -_-

  • Cricket404

Sandra has LeBron shown us a picture of his baby girl?

  • Call Me Mrs. B

I experienced the same thing with my daughter…I’m brown skin and my daughter was lighter than Tamera’s baby girl when she was born. Hell people thought I was the nanny most times when I was out with her….one YT woman even asked me if I was the nanny.

  • Cricket404

I want to see his baby girl but he not having it

  • Buttercup

    Is he feeling better?

  • Sleepy One

Leave this woman and her family alone! Do you Tamera, you have nothing to prove to ppl.

  • That’s Interesting

They only asked because of difference in skin color. That makes no sense to me because the Black families I know come in all different colors…sometimes features. Most of the time, if you look past those things, the people actually look a lot alike…

  • That’s Interesting

I feel for you with that. Don’t let the ignorance bother you, and your daughter is beautiful! :-)

  • iWasteTime

  • http://www.sandrarose.com Django the God

But the photo appears to be altered or Photoshopped to make Ariah’s skin much lighter than her hands. Or maybe she’s wearing light makeup?

LOW-2.75 HAS A BRIGHT FACE AND DARKER ARMS/LEGS…THE GENE POOL JUST SO HAPPENS TO BE MASSIVE. THAT’S WHAT MAKES US BEAUTIFUL…THE PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS.

  • Unita Lucinda “Lucy” Freebush

    Ok? Gone now. Git! ?

  • Auditor

Cutie pie…but um when you mixing you sure as hell don’t know what you’re gonna get. But Black folks come in a wide range of colors. My sister is much darker than me. She’s the same color as my mom as a child (my mom got much lighter though). My sister looks just like our father. I’d dare someone to say she wasn’t our dad’s. My nephew looks DEAD on our father so ain’t no way in HELL!

  • VV

People are so stupid & mean for no damn reason. This little girl is beautiful!

  • Unita Lucinda “Lucy” Freebush

I remember a married couple was on. He was denying the child due to his complexion. The baby had shock-value red hair, very fair skin, and blue/hazel eyes. No, his tone was NOTHING like the rest of the family, but he was dead on the father. Yep, anyone could see they were kin. He still had a haed time believing the child was his even after the test confirmation.

  • Auditor

Lol hell I would TOO and it came out my OWN…but my family got strange genes on my dad’s side so it could happen and I wouldn’t be surprised.

  • Orchidjones

    Guess What!?

Ol’ Mr and Mrs Housley’s issues are not as big as they think. You can get anything when you gamble of mixing with the races.
Now this is a black cutie pa’tootie, and not an albino baby, but a very light baby with a birthmark. Imagine what these parents are thinking…esp the Father…lol

  • Auditor

    Yup exactly what I said

  • Unita Lucinda “Lucy” Freebush

8? Awww Jen Nay. She can’t stay for brunch? How about breakfast? Awww.

  • Candance

OMG people are CRAZY!!!!! My dad looks white and my mom is dark and Im light and dark depending on the season. The baby clearly looks mixed!

  • Auditor

No usually your face is darker because your face is in the sun more.

  • Pebbles

She needs to be around her sister just a tad bit more and develop tough skin .. She has been in the business long enough to know… Or higher someone for her page that knows how to clap back.

  • Auditor

    Sad

  • Unita Lucinda “Lucy” Freebush

I had lasagna and garlic bread from Olive Garden for lunch and it was free. :)

  • http://www.sandrarose.com Django the God

    Without a doubt.

But they carry the oldest DNA. Everyone else has a mutation built on their DNA.

From the bits and peices I’ve caught of that show, you’re absolutely right.

  • Noirluv45

I’ve seen Black babies who look like this adorable baby. I’ve seen mixed people who looked like they had two Black parents.

  • SandrasNewFave

While I don’t think the picture was photoshopped, and both twins have beautiful babies…..I do understand being sensitive about the things people say regarding your child. Catch me on a bad day, or turn around my good day and you gone see the 17-point-Kanye-slideshow come out.

  • Saywhatnow?

I find it strange that a person who was once a nurse and that does a medical minute posted this nonsense. Why not break down why a child may be lighter or darker than the sibling, instead of shading Tamera.

  • Noirluv45

Sandra’s right. We can’t control what people say, so people need to keep their children off social media. When they do, they don’t have to read people ignorant comments.

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

    Lolololol rofl !

  • ShelleDC

This saddens me. I had a hard time growing up thinking I wasn’t good enough, even though people around me always told me how pretty I was, smart ect. The reason being is because my fathers family .. well his mother didn’t except me. My grandmother was really light and so was my dad. He has sandy brown hair as well. My mother was really dark with very fine hair. I came out smack dab in the middle color wise. My fathers mother would not claim me for nothing, and called my mother all kinds of black cows. My father even went as far as getting a blood test to prove I was his to stop his mothers antics. Still she never acknowledged me, even though I am my fathers only child (may he RIP), and look JUST like her only darker. I remember when I was 16 I saw her and said hi grandma, and she totally ignored me. Like I was a stranger not talking to her. It hurt, and for years no matter how pretty people told me I was I would always tell them I was just average.

  • Guess Who

Yum! I love their zuppa Toscana but I rarely eat it because of fat and carbs. :0(

  • Mel

People are dumb as hell her mom is not exactly a light and bright person tho. So what if the baby a little bit darker than her brother? ?

  • SameoleJ

So, do I and I always eat t…..to hell with carbs!! LOL

  • Kee

    She’s adorable.?

  • ShelleDC

All of my children are different colors, people always ask is my daughter Puerto Rican (she is partially), but they ask is my son Ethiopian, and I have had people of different races speak to me in their language. I was getting my eyebrows done, and the lady asked my was I in the US on a student or work visa.

  • Afiya

Why folks care so much, lawd, mind ya damn business bout folks babies…ugh!

  • mela.reign77

First this baby is so fricken adorable! Second regardless of what Tamera is mixed so there maybe a slight chance that the baby may inherit more of the African American side than the Caucasian side People love to reach, and it’s awful. But did I mention how pretty this baby is! ??!! My goodness.. adorable!

  • Shayla

What fool thinks the photo has been altered? “Wearing light makeup” people are stupid..whoever wrote this is stupid. Just stupid and sad.

Wow. My mom said I was the product of date rape but given her actions afterwards with my ‘father’ I doubt her story.

What’s sad is that they were arguing about what happened a few years before he died and I was in my late 20’s at the time.

Bless your heart. Its her loss! RIP to your father. Good for him to prove your grandma wrong. Most men would have listened to their mother.
It is soooo pathetic how we treat each other based on our complexion. Especially grandma’s and fathers who think the baby should be a spitting image of them or someone in their family.

Actually he did kind of take her side. He only came around every blue moon to see me, but kept me away from them. Not sure if he did it to protect me or not. I see it as a blessing in disguise. They spelled my name wrong in his obituary, and I found out he passed after 8 years of looking for him. When I finally met some of them, I realized that I was better off not knowing them. It is her loss. She is in a home now and I want so much to go see her, but my uncle told me no. He said I will remind her of my dad, and she hasn’t been right since he passed. Her memory doesn’t go past that day. I had a lawyer assigned to her so that they can make sure the home is doing right by her.

  • Canary Red™

Wow! God will continue to bless you!

May I give you a small piece of advice, based on my personal experience with close relatives and friends?

If my advise does not apply – discard.

If, and only if, it is in your heart to go see your Grandma, then go see her. Its obvious you have a heart, don’t fight it or you will end up regretting it. No, you don’t know them – yes your thankful you were not 100% relevant in their life, but something draws you to them.

Whether, I want to forgive or forget the person(s) who hurt me, I will give them opportunity to ask for forgiveness, whether its verbal or a gesture or act of kindness. Allow her to ask for your forgiveness…and if she doesn’t you will have a definitive answer of what to do. Obviously her son was her heart, maybe seeing you will make all the difference.

  • ShelleDC

I will make an appointment to see her. I really do want to speak with her. There are some things about my history that I would like to know. She is the only one that can answer my questions. I want her to meet my children. But I think I will just take a picture of them, just in case the visit isn’t a good one.

  • Readytochokemothernatureonout

    The baby is so adorable.

  • therealashland

Tamera is half black, no denying that her black genes are visual with her children, maybe a little more with her daughter. If her husband is insecure maybe he shouldn’t have gotten a black women pregnant

  • Luv Pitties

I completely understand what you went through as far as your dad’s family not accepting you. My mother and I are light skinned, my dad is not. Apparently his family believes that my father is “some white man” and even though I have always tried to reach out to them and establish a relationship over the years, they would always show me their asses.

I would catch the bus to go and visit his mother in the hospital on her deathbed on a regular basis and try to talk to her, she would just stare at me and strike up conversations with thin air. She would actually hold conversations with everyone else. That woman nor the rest of the family has ever accepted me. I reached a point 5 yrs ago to cut those toxic and messy ppl out of my life and no longer acknowledge them as anything to me; I feel no void in my life.

That is some bull … things like this anger and sadden me at the same time. I lived through that so I know what you went through. I have met his family, and I have made my amends with everyone but my grandmother. I want to see her one more time.

Something funny … She only had two sons. My uncle is darker than me (never knew this), and she treated him and his children the same way she treated me. Her son born from her womb.

  • Bam Bam Li

?? I can feel this happening to me VERY soon

  • Bam Bam Li

That happened to my sister once! A woman approached her and started speaking some language (I’m sure she was of Somali descent) I almost died laughing ?

  • Bam Bam Li

It’s funny because we all my brothers and sister all look exactly like my father but we are all completely different shades of brown.

  • Mel

Chile I turned into my grandmother real quick with the accent and the words she was so embarrassed lmao

  • Luv Pitties

I’m sorry but your grandmother seems colorstruck and as long as you are brown there is no getting through to her. I hope you are able to cut your losses as far as she is concerned.

  • Melody Fizer

Bloggers have nothing better to do than be messy….smh…#getalife The baby is beautiful just like her parents!!!

  • Bam Bam Li

It’s hard here in the UK, when I get angry and the patois comes out these white folk look at me like I’m a beast about to attack rofl. Happened about three months when a 4 year old bit my daughter at her nursery school…flipped out cause this child is known to bite other kids and no one is ever watching her smh. Removed my daughter and myself from that nursey asap before I ended up catching a case -_-

    Say that a lil louder!!!!

  • Canary Red™

Sounds like an awesome plan. And more important the fact you have questions about your family history.
I would take a picture to her and then plan to take them up there. Control the conversation (like feeling for good opportunities to start your questions) and it will go as plan, she is expecting you…it will work out perfect for you.

People should just mind their own d a m n business and worry about themselves, period! It takes 365 to do so!

My paternal grandmother distanced herself from my sister, because she has darker skin, hair, and eyes. My sister looked like Ariah and I looked like Aiden. When it comes to biracial people, DNA can be tricky.

  • 1/8

That depends on the amount of chocolate in the milk. I’m an octoroon and no one has ever identified me as part black.

  • Mrs. Sunshine

I have 3 sons by my hubby. My oldest is the darker of them all. I hate when folks assume he has a different father as if I’m some type of flousy. Black people come in all shades folks. This mess kills me!!!

  • shawna evettex

    Makeup? So stupid.

  • Mrs. Sunshine

    I truly hate that !!!

  • Brenda

She is so cute. People need to stop vicious rumors. Ever heard of genetics?

  • KFBD

I’m a lighter hued black women and my husband is brown skinned. Our son was born damn near translucent and stayed very light for a while before browning up a bit. People need to stop with the rumors.

  • T3

It’s so funny how some people can’t see past color. Dark and light skinned relatives can look exactly alike and people won’t see it because their colors are different. #ohtheignorance One of the biggest plays on genes I always point out is Monica’s kids. They look like her dad and father. And nothing like her or Rocko. #genesarefunny

It’s a troll. Just clocked it. Lying for attention

  • Chuck

    Beautiful baby, but ugly Loni.

  • Dr.Rue

There is no one phenotype for siblings with same parents lol. Even siblings with two Black parents can have some siblings with fair skin and some with darker skin.

  • Dr.Rue

I wonder if Tamera is conservative…

  • 1/8

What makes you think Loni is ugly?

  • Mrs Mary

Yes is one is darker, no blue eyes and no curly hair…..she bragged about her sons blue eyes so much I guess God said ok now you gonna get one with dark eyes so she can appreciate all eye color!

  • ArDnAhC45

Cute baby. I love the name too.

  • suganspice68

You have a good heart! God will bless you and your family.I am sorry that you had to go through that from your grandmother.

  • ShelleDC

    Thank You!

  • suganspice68

They be looking like fools falling out on the floors crying,Maury got to come backstage and comfort them.

  • suganspice68

He is a typical Capricorn who loves making that money,he is a good business man too.

  • Xsjado

As long as she is healthy and happy, who cares??

Genetics are like playing Russian Roulette. She was gonna end on up on one spectrum or the other.

I’m yellow, and my sis was dark. Same parents.

    She’s a cutie though!!

  • ChocolateBeauty

It’s ok beautiful thank you tho

    DONT ACT BRAND NEW…

  • cinnamonchic

? ? ITS YOUR FAULT. sad but true ? ?
? 1. you also did not like your fathers choice of color (your mom) Im in the middle too & I love my tone
? 2. you wanted acceptance from an Asshole.
? 3. You and that grandmother of yours BELIEVE ‘white is right’ and for that you both in YOUR own created hell.. ……pain on.
True love has no conditions applied or boastful of.. . or make excuse for…..it Just IS
    ? ? ? You are just like your grandmother ? v ? ?
    ________
Once you have the same “mind-frame as your father” . The person who love without conditions. then you would be set free.
    GOOD LUCK ( i mean it )

    =============OTHER ADVISE BELOW ========
For the others comments: I dont believe in BLOOD Is thicker than water.? fuck that!
PS I wouldn’t make peace with her. Tell her she is an asshole ? too old for her fuckery ? hell has a special place for her. Give her your number to call when SHE READY TO APOLOGIES – ruining your childhood.
    — why make peace with your Mom’s enemy ???
Then you + your mom make peace with yourselves and move forward on to people who are worth your love.

  • Chuck

Well, maybe I should have just said “unattractive.”

  • 1/8

I’m not questioning your adjectives. I’m questioning your assessment of Loni’s looks. I want to know what makes her ugly/unattractive to you.

  • ShelleDC

For your info, there are plenty of reasons that I felt the way I did. Don’t try to judge off a couple of paragraphs. I love my mother and her tone. One thing I also didn’t share was that my mother wouldn’t allow me to be around anyone that told me I was pretty. She used to say it was because she didn’t want me growing up conceited. Because this post is about color, I shared that portion. As a child nothing is your fault. I am a grown woman who been came to terms with it. My son is darker than me and my daughters are lighter. I said that in another post on this same thread. I love all of our shades. Like I said in this post, it saddens me. Not it hurts me or makes me cry. So scurry along. Nothing is a child’s fault in being treated a certain way because of color. Also read further down where I said my father hardly came around. He got a blood test to prove I was his, but he still chose his mother over his child. When she wouldn’t stop her antics he disappeared. After I turned 4 I saw my dad maybe 5 – 6 times over the span of 14 years. I want to see my grandmother because I want to know the truth and make peace for myself. I don’t care about how she feels. I have questions about my heritage that only she can answer. If she rejects it then I’ll wipe my hands clean. This will be the first and maybe the last time I speak with her. (I have never spoken to her, everything I went off was my mothers account) Your opinion will not change what is in my heart to do. By the way I am nothing like her. Good Day!!!

  • esh

regardless of the cruel world, she is completely kisssable!!!!!!!

  • ViolettaBliss

What a beautiful baby, God bless !

  • Jaitlyn_Kenner

I’m dark. My daughter is high yelluh and her son is chocolate brown with a skin tone that is still slightly uneven. Good grief! This child is a growing baby. Let her be comfortable in her skin! SHEESH!!
