Cops Hunt Man Who Fatally Stabbed Homeless Girlfriend and Her 3 Daughters

A mother and her 3 daughters were fatally stabbed by the woman’s boyfriend at a hotel for the homeless in Staten Island on Wednesday.

A housekeeper found 26-year-old Rebecca Cutler bleeding from multiple stab wounds in a room at the Ramada Inn in Willowbrook, the NY Daily News reports.

Cutler’s three daughters, 2-year-old Miracle, 1-year-old Ziana, and 5-month-old Maliyah, were also stabbed multiple times.

All 4 later died from their injuries at Staten Island University Hospital North, the Daily News reports.

Police are hunting for Cutler’s boyfriend, Michael “Da Kid” Sykes, who stormed into the room around 10 a.m. Wednesday, and attacked the mom and her three minor children.

Michael Sykes was the father of Cutler’s youngest child, Maliyah.

After the stabbings, Sykes called his mother and confessed his crimes. He indicated he wanted to kill himself.

“I’m literally sick to my stomach thinking about what happened,” Councilman Steve Matteo told the Daily News. “It’s tough to even digest what’s happened.”

“She was a good mom. She was always with her kids,” Shaquia Williams, 24, told the Daily News. Williams is also a resident at the homeless hotel.

“It’s sad, it’s tragic, she was cool people,” Williams said. “We hung out, I watched the kids for her a few times. She didn’t deserve it.”

Sykes’ last known address is in Brooklyn.

This is so sad to read, I feel so bad for this young mom and her kids may they rest in peace. So many women rather have a piece of a man than to be alone, especially when its an abusive relationship. I think I read that she was homeless too? The last thing I would be trying to do is date someone and have kids and especially if I didn’t have a safe environment to raise them but thats just my thinking though!

I always think about the women over in those third world countries too that they show with their kids dying in their arms with flies all around them. I always think, if you see all the suffering around you and babies dying daily, why are you having sex too instead of trying to get out of the situation? Then I think again, I’m not over there to understand their mind set. Sad all the way around.

When you have a crazy nikka, welfare & WIC appointments, car is running bad, light bill due, need to pay mom back, babysitter is wishy washy….logically no child should come into that. But the reality is, sometimes you want comfort. And comfort, attention, a listening ear, etc is offered by snakes all the time.
It is hard to be strong when your whole life is making you weak. To this day I am amazed I had the wherewithal to keep a job and always pay the rent. I thank God for delivering me out of that and I try to never forget how that cycle of despair goes.

This is precisely the reason people don’t want rehab centers, drug clinics, and homeless shelters in their neighborhoods. After this story, before I check into a hotel, I’m going to ask them if there are any homeless people staying there!

Cutler’s foolishness not only cost her, her life and the lives of her children, her stupidity resulted in the other homeless people being evicted from the hotel! Ugh!!!!!!!

Whereas it costs approximately $45 – 90K per year to house an inmate on death row in additional costs to the prosecution and defense that doesn’t take into account the cost of court personnel (jurors, experts etc).
Housing a death row inmate for 1 year can costs 2-3 times the average American Family income. Now times that by 10 – 15, some 2 parent households will never make that in their entire working careers. Taxpayers pay more into the prison systems than their own child(ren) education fund.

As a single woman who has spent her share of nights at home watching re-runs of the Jefferson, I will say some WOMAN ARE GOING TO HAVE TO LEARN TO LIVE WITHOUT A MAN IN YOUR LIFE!! Seriously, we need to be more selective about who we let into our homes and our bodies. I have read too many stories like this where women have let these different jerks into there lives and the men come in and abuse/kill their children. It happened in my city a couple of years ago. Woman moved the man in after a few months of dating, come to find out he was schizophrenic and stabbed her two kids to death while she was at work. Learn to be alone.
