A mother and her 3 daughters were fatally stabbed by the woman's boyfriend at a hotel for the homeless in Staten Island on Wednesday.
A housekeeper found 26-year-old Rebecca Cutler bleeding from multiple stab wounds in a room at the Ramada Inn in Willowbrook, the NY Daily News reports.
Cutler's three daughters, 2-year-old Miracle, 1-year-old Ziana, and 5-month-old Maliyah, were also stabbed multiple times.
All 4 later died from their injuries at Staten Island University Hospital North, the Daily News reports.
Police are hunting for Cutler's boyfriend, Michael “Da Kid” Sykes, who stormed into the room around 10 a.m. Wednesday, and attacked the mom and her three minor children.
Michael Sykes was the father of Cutler's youngest child, Maliyah.
After the stabbings, Sykes called his mother and confessed his crimes. He indicated he wanted to kill himself.
“I’m literally sick to my stomach thinking about what happened,” Councilman Steve Matteo told the Daily News. “It’s tough to even digest what’s happened.”
“She was a good mom. She was always with her kids,” Shaquia Williams, 24, told the Daily News. Williams is also a resident at the homeless hotel.
“It’s sad, it’s tragic, she was cool people,” Williams said. “We hung out, I watched the kids for her a few times. She didn’t deserve it.”
Sykes' last known address is in Brooklyn.
