Troubled musician Kanye West is losing the battle with his demons. Over the weekend West, 38, tweeted that he was $53 million in debt. He begged billionaires such as Facebook's Mark Zuckerburg for cash donations to prop up his failing fashion line.
Inside sources whisper that West is spiraling out of control because his infant son, Saint West, was allegedly born with a birth defect.
Insiders also allege that West and his wife Kim Kardashian leaked reports that they were shopping photos of the baby to the highest bidder. But numerous sources at mainstream publications claim they've never seen any photos of the baby.
West's behavior has caused many of his staunch supporters to turn their backs on him.
Longtime collaborator and songwriter Che Smith took to Twitter.com on Friday to announce he was ending his association with West.
Smith, who uses the Twitter handle @Rhymefest, implored West to seek help for his deteriorating mental condition.
"My brother needs help, in the form of spiritual counseling. Spiritual & mental. He should step away from the public & yes men & heal," Smith tweeted to a Twitter user.
What followed was a backlash against the songwriter from hardcore West fans who accused Smith of exploiting West's mental condition to further his own agenda.
West and Smith worked together on many hit songs including "Jesus Walks".
Last week Week angered feminists by calling pop singer Taylor Swift a "bitch" on the track "Famous" off his new album The Life of Pablo.
Then he accused Swift of lying when she denounced his misogyny.
