That might not sound like a real exciting show… but it cant be any worse than most of these other reality shows on TV now.

I recently bought coconut oil from Trader Joe’s, which I’ve actually been using on my skin. I used a little on my hair and parts of my scalp once, but it can be a bit heavy. Hydration is key for those of us who have thick, dry hair. But you don’t want your hair getting greasy. It’s a happy medium, which I haven’t found yet.

I wouldn’t say that it tastes like coconut per se. The coconut oil gives food a pleasant flavor but not a strong one. I like to saute garlic in it when I do my garlicky green beans. It’s great for making Jamaican style rice and peas too. I’ve been doing a lot of research on the beauty and health benefits of coconut oil and it’s good for so many things and has anti bacterial and anti fungal properties. Good for eczema. Google ut. I’m obsessed now.

I did oil pulling once. I am aware of the benefits. I just wanted to know the difference in the taste of food using coconut oil vs. veggie oil. I won’t use olive oil because it has so much fat in it.
