Omar Slim White & Scales 925 Presents 1st Annual Celebrity Speed Dating Event

Well-known Atlanta party planner Omar Slim White held his 1st Annual Celebrity Speed Dating Event in conjunction with rap mogul T.I.‘s Scales 925 restaurant on Thursday.

The event was hosted by V-103 radio personality Darian “Big Tigger” Morgan and Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star Erica Dixon.

Speed dating allows participants to quickly see who they are compatible with in a stress-free, timely manner.

Omar Slim White, 2nd from right, decided to kick off his annual celebrity speed dating event at Scales 925 because that’s where all the beautiful, single, happy people dine and hang out!

It’s so rare to find an abundance of single, handsome, mature, straight men in one spot!

I’m a firm believer in getting your emotional issues together, but you can’t control having a job one day and losing it the next. You can’t control having a health crisis, which could cause your credit to go from an 800 to a 400.

A person doesn’t deserve to be single because they’re going through something. If that’s the case, the majority of the people who are married would be single. The majority of people in relationships wouldn’t be in them.

Respect to the couples who may have met one another when one or both of them were down, and who strive to work their way up as a collective. That is one of the things that will help them sustain their relationship.

My point is if you’re either homeless, fresh out the jail, got roommates, got bad credit, have no reliable transportation ARE A CHECK AWAY FROM BEING HOMELESS because you have no real savings, no, you don’t have it together. The person who falls here should not be trying to date anybody. Instead work on some of those areas in your control that you can change.

I was in high school when the rule of thumb was to have at least 3 months expenses in savings. Years later, I’m sure it’s recommended to have more. Yes, I have savings that I absolutely never touch, withdraw from, or attempt to live off. Yes, I have a second savings account and 401k. Hell no, hundreds of thousands aint in any of them.

No my life aint perfect, but a lot of this stuff is checked off. I’ve always been different and dated completely different from everyone else. My mode now is to upgrade my house to a bigger home, more affluent area. So my energy is there, not out in the streets, clubs, etc. For all I know everyone at this thing had IT together though. Potato potatoe.

The funny part about it is, despite my losses, I’ve still managed to reside in an affluent area and not only maintain what I have, but acquire more. Regardless of how much or how little I have financially, my debts remain paid.

In your curt response, you enabled me to realize that I’m so much more blessed than I probably even acknowledge. That’s why folks should never listen to what the next person tells them about what they should or shouldn’t do as it pertains to their lives.

God may have broken someone down for someone to come into their life and build them back up. No one has a right to tell the next person what position they should or shouldn’t be in financially or professionally before they pursue a relationship. Even if someone is emotionally unstable, God may send them someone who will help them be healed.
