Gwen Stefani says she hopes one of her sons turns out to be gay. In an interview with gay website Pridesource.com, the 46-year-old singer said her love for her son would not change if he came out of the closet.

“I would be blessed with a gay son,” said Stefani, who is mother to three boys, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2.

She added: “I just want my boys to be happy and healthy, and I just ask God to guide me every day to be a good mother because it is not an easy job.”

Stefani is divorced from her children’s father, rock singer Gavin Rossdale, 50, who is bisexual.

Stefani says homosexuality is a popular topic amongst her circle of friends. The loving mom says she queries her gay friends for signs of homosexuality in her children.

“I always ask my gay friends, ‘OK, so what was it like when you were a little boy?‘” she said.

The pop singer dotes on her sons, often taking them with her on weekend trips to boyfriend Blake Shelton‘s farm in Oklahoma.

“As long as my boys are protected and happy and I’m spending quality time with them, whether it’s doing sports or doing nails, it really doesn’t matter,” she said.
