First born here and my momma told me I was her favorite. She said because it took here a minute to have me after a miscarriage. She always said I was her perfect child and I was always easy to please and take care of. Now my lil sister on the other hand…lol. Trouble since birth…

My siblings say it was me, because I was his only child who wouldn’t blindly worship him and challenge what he said, so he always concerned with what I thought of him.

Interesting. Mama Butter shows more attention to the middle child. He’s the only one of us who doesn’t have any responsibility. If me or my oldest brother fell on hard times, we can always go back and live with her, but it would be for a maximum of 6 months and we’d be responsible for part of the household bills. My brother has been there for 8 years and won’t even rake the yards. I think my mom recognizes that we are three different people with 3 different ways we need to be parented (even in adulthood).

Well I’ve seen sisters come into church with everything showing, hanging out, popping out, dresses that look like they’re painted on… just totally inappropriate for church. So I can see how a devout churchgoer might want to make sure his lady doesnt come to church wearing stuff that’s going to draw the wrong type of attention.
I guess I can see both sides of the issue… but it seems like his heart is definitely in the right place. Shouldn’t be a relationship-killer or anything.

Let me share my church experience. I went to a church that blessed me with the Word, but some of their “unofficial rules” chafed me bad. I will never forget this one girl pulling me to the side telling me First Lady hates bare legs, you really need to put on stockings next time. Bish whet? It is July and hot as hell, a Saturday afternoon service and I have on the requisite long denim skirt. Meanwhile, you are on out of wedlock baby #2 with one of the musicians so you put on your stockings just to pull em down for him after service I guess. *sigh* Keep it tasteful, but you don’t have to dress like a member of the Mother Board.
