Carlin Williams is what the feds call a “recidivist,” a convicted criminal who reoffends repeatedly and is jailed over and over again. It got to the point where he was on a first name basis with the wardens of the prisons he was sent to.

I won’t bore you with the details of his criminal history. His rap sheet is too long to list here.

Mr. Williams, 39, was the first of Prince Rogers Nelson‘s spawn to file a claim to his father’s hefty $800 million estate. If he turns out to be Prince’s son, Williams would be the pop icon’s sole heir, giving him full control of Prince’s fortune.

Prince did not leave a Will when he died in an elevator on his property in Minnesota on April 21.
