Actress Vivica A. Fox, who is in NYC promoting her new film Independence Day: Resurgence, bumped into Today Show host Tamron Hall in Rockefeller Center!

Vivica, clad in Michael Kors, Christian Louboutin and Chopard, caught up with the television personality, and the two independent ladies exchanged phone numbers and made a dinner date for later this evening!

Hall, 45, is wearing sneakers because she commutes to and from work on her bicycle every day.

Viviva, 51, is best known for box office hits such as Independence Day, Soul Food, Kill Bill, Batman and Robin and Two Can Play That Game.

She is also a television personality with special appearances on The Celebrity Apprentice (Season 7), Curb Your Enthusiasm, and ABC’s Dancing with The Stars.

Additionally, she set tongues wagging on season 2 of Fox Network’s hip hop soap opera Empire.

When she’s not acting or producing, she is busy running her hair company, The Vivica A. Fox Hair Collection! Since 2009, her hair collection has provided consumers with the highest quality hair extensions and wigs.

hey girl hey. I know many women (some of my closest friends) with locs and they date regularly. (well one has secured a man, they bought a home together and are now knocked up lol. he’s Puerto Rican). but I find that as long as you are confident and feel beautiful, men will be attracted to you regardless of how your hair is. hell, I still get hit on when I don’t bother to do my hair at all lol. men are simple creatures. just make sure you regularly maintain them otherwise your hair can get really damaged :).

Hi Howard Alum! Locs are a commitment but well worth it! Make sure you find a good loctician in your area and be sure to see their previous work. Decide what size you want your locs to be and have them make your parts the size of the eventual locs since they expand as they loc. Try to stay away from beeswax because it causes build up for a lot of people.
I’ve dated all types of guys and they all loved my locs…because they loved me lol Never had them be a deterrent especially as they gotten longer. Most men just like women period, hair never mattered for me.

Lol definitely go with the specialists! You want the healthiest start for your locs so you don’t end up with breakage down the road. A good loctician will hook you up with all the right products and start them right so your roots are healthy. Always take care of your roots! Once they start growing they get heavy and will cause breakage if they don’t have a good foundation. Good luck!
