I live in a community that was set aside for Black WWII vets. My father was one. My neighbors showed no signs of long term stress. My sibling who was in the front of Gulf Desert War, Rwanda and now civilian Pentagon has lost spirit and part of his soul. He has learned to bury all emotion. I can only compare the latter to returning Korean and Viet Nam vets. Each era is different. Each war unique.

My brother was a marine too. He went from this handsome fun loving man to a violent shadow of his former self. In and out of VA psych wards when he came home. They had to give him a conservator and financially provide for his wife and kids, they even have college funds for them. There were whispers that he was injected with something while serving. I was just a kid and our family does not talk about it so I will never know what happened to him until I see him in Zion. He lost his battle and passed on a few years ago.

I had a former client with a multitude of mental health diagnosis and a long history of violence since he was a child. He had recently exited juvenile hall after biting chunks from a woman’s inner thigh during an assault causing permanent nerve damage. I had to contact an Army recruiters superior officer and have a face to face meeting with them after my failed attempts to stop this recruiter from spending time with this teen and buying him pizza as part of recruitment practices. This fool (recruitment officer) almost had this young man enlisted until this meeting. When I laid his history out and the fact that although 18 he was still a ward of the court, they finally left him alone. I often wonder if that young man did end up in the military later after his case was vacated. The superior officer told me that some recruiters are looking at bonuses more than the candidates. I firmly believe that the military is already recruiting people who are unbalanced and sending them home worse.

Oh, that town hall meeting was so embarrassing and problematic, that I deleted it from my DVR.

A shoot out amongst reguler smegulers was unfolding. Officers responded and as a result were shot in the line of duty. This was not an ambush. C

It is a sad reality about the history of this nation, we never should have needed to abolish slavery in this country. It should have NEVER existed .

I can’t deny that MOST of the things that he is saying is absolutely TRUE. Our country is governed by devils and demons.
