and ..whatevers for this post…my baby was chubby like that….it all changed once she started walking…she is now 12 and is what I called white ppl skinny…but then again she is a peeky eater and she is very active.

Reason why dairy should not be consumed by humans. It’s intended to grow a baby calf to a 1600 to 2100 pound animal. Not meant for us at all.

That baby is/was far from obese. Obesity isn’t even in her DNA. Her parents bodies are amazing! My kids were fat like that as babies, my pediatrician even suggested I watch their weight. My babies lost if that extra weight by tge time they started walking.

If it is true she should know better than to diagnose people, through pictures. So unprofessional. Especially a child.

Ain’t nothing wrong with that baby except she’s breastfeed. All babies that are getting correct nutrients and not these store brought baby food, are chunky. That breastmilk is giving her entire life right now!! Such a cutie pie!!!

How do you know there are “few to no” books in her nursery? Why would you ASSume that? Both her parents are intelligent people who are productive in society.
And you do realize she is an infant, so she isn’t doing too much reading.

So you use breast milk when milk is required in a dish? Serious question here…or are you saying to not give it to children? Infants aren’t fed milk (from cow, etc) when they during the 1st year (and sometimes beyond) of their life, so that wouldn’t the reason why she is chunky, and she is breastfed.

I should have copied and pasted the portion of your comment I was responding to before making my point. And I didn’t do a great job of explaining said point either: why we shouldn’t consume dairy. I went off on a tangent without fully presenting my argument. ?

You said “Milk is high in fat and necessary for proper growth and development” when referencing breast milk. I was agreeing with your statement and taking it a step further by saying this is why we shouldn’t consume dairy. A cow’s milk contains high levels of fat that’s necessary for the proper growth and development of a baby calf to a healthy adult size weight of 1600 ibs or so. The milk we produce contains the right amount of fat for HUMAN growth and development during a baby’s nursing years.

@SameOleJ while some baby formulas do contain dairy, that wasn’t the point I was arguing. I was responding to a statement Butter made in her post. To answer your question about substituting breast milk in a dish that requires milk…uhm no ?. 1. I’m vegan. 2. When I say not meant for us, I meant all of us. Kids and adults alike…not consuming it period in all it’s forms. So that would include recipes made with it. There is just no nutritional purpose for it.

You are absolutely correct, however no practicing professional would do that. So, I stand corrected by the way I worded it. Peace!

When I went vegan in HS at 16 I started drinking unsweetened almond and coconut milk as substitutes. But prior to that, I was a HEAVY dairy consumer. There was a dramatic difference once I stopped. Many health conditions cleared up as a result. Now I mostly drink almond milk, cause coconut milk has a weird consistency to me. The way food is processed now (chemicals, hormones, etc.) plays a major role in how it has impacted our health, yes. But aside from that, milk products don’t provide any nutritional substance period. The dairy industry’s primary claim used to be calcium for healthy bones, but Harvard’s study has long since debunked that myth, so….

I tend to jump on my soap box when it comes to nutrition and how most of the diseases and conditions we’ve encountered are primarily the result of poor diets. But I trying to be less radical with my approach and just encourage people to educate themselves on what they’re consuming. Sorry if I offended you, J.

I stopped drinking animal breast milk last year. I tried to drink almond milk but I couldn’t get past the taste. ?
