Rapper Chris Brown's house is surrounded by LAPD and a SWAT team after a woman reported the 27-year-old troubled singer pulled a gun on her.
The incident happened at 3 a.m. west coast time, and the standoff is still underway.
But Hollywood insiders claim the incident may be a stunt orchestrated for a reality TV show.
The entire LAPD and other law enforcement agencies have surrounded the house in the foothills of Tarzana, Ca. as helicopters hover overhead. Brown reportedly barricaded himself inside his mansion on Tuesday.
Gossip tabloid TMZ reports police retrieved guns and drugs after someone threw a duffle bag out of a window of his home.
The gossip tabloid states several friends including reality star Ray J were inside the home when several uninvited guests arrived and were asked to leave.
The guests -- a man and 2 women -- argued with Brown who produced a gun and again asked them to leave his home.
One of the women, who is featured on a reality TV show, called the police and reported Brown threatened her with a gun.
Ray J left the home, but his BMW was stopped and he was handcuffed when he got to the end of the driveway.
Ray J was later released, but his BMW was confiscated by police.
Police are in the process of getting a search warrant to forcibly enter Brown's home on a cu de sac in an upscale bedroom community near Los Angeles.
Brown paid $4.35 million for the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom in 2015. The house has a complex security system including 16 motion-activated cameras.
The mansion features a saltwater pool and waterfall and a home theater that seats 14.
