Toya Wrights brothers

Two brothers of reality TV star Antonia "Toya" Wright were shot in a drive-by early Sunday morning, police confirmed.

Rudy and Josh Johnson were shot just after midnight on Sunday, July 31, as they sat in a car in New Orleans' 7th Ward.

Both men were shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene, nola.com reports.

About an hour later, a man was gunned down in the Seabrook neighborhood of New Orleans East.

Police believe the murder cases are linked, but they are not releasing any information on the cases.

Wright reportedly received the news of her brothers' tragic deaths while onstage at an event in Atlanta.

The 32-year-old mother-of-one is the ex-wife of rap mogul Li'l Wayne, 33, and the mother of his eldest daughter Reginae Carter, 17.

Wright divorced Wayne in 2006 after 2 years of marriage.

Rudy and Josh made appearances in the BET reality shows 'Toya: A Family Affair' and 'Tiny and Toya'.

Wright, who was especially close to her brother Rudy, expressed her grief for both brothers on Instagram.com.

Toya Wright

Rudy's girlfriend is reportedly pregnant with his baby.

Toya Wright

Tameka and her estranged husband Clifford "Tip" Harris, Jr., aka T.I., were among Wright's celebrity friends posting condolences on social media.

Tameka Harris

T.I. caught flack from his social media followers when he urged social justice activists Black Lives Matter to make black-on-black crime a top priority in addition to protesting police brutality.

T.I. tweeted, "For us to really have an argument in the BLM movement WE MUST show that Black Lives Matter to Us!!

The misguided miscreants on Black Twitter reacted with anger and indignation at T.I.'s suggestion that they show Black lives really do matter by protesting black on black crime, too.

Wright and her estranged husband Mickey "MempHitz" Wright were married in 2011 and separated in February 2015. They appeared to give their marriage another try on the Marriage Bootcamp reality show on WeTV.

Sorry all of this is happening to toya right around the time of her divorce to her husband. Jesus give this family strength.

  • MyNameIs

I agree with the statement T.I. made. He has had his fair share of problems but it shouldn't take away from what he said. RIP to her brothers and prayers for their family. I know they must be going through it!

    So sad. RIP to them.

  • Fabulousbrownme

Truly sad! Although I wonder what the motive was NOTHING justifies being murdered in this fashion. I feel for Toya and I feel for Black America. Enough is enough! Any coward can pick up a gun. A real man knows how to battle with his words.

  • SG

T.I. was right. This is terribly sad. Heartbroken for her and her family...

Sidenote...K Michelle expressing her concerns via social media seemed disingenuous. Especially considering that you were recently playing clips of Toya and her husband on Marriage Bootcamp at your shows in an attempt to ridicule her. Sit your unfortunately shaped behind down.

Now. Rubs hands. when these guys are found, AND THEY WILL BE due to Wayne and Toya more than likely pitting up a high reward, they WILL go to prison. They will. When someone alabaster kills us they get a GFM and a paid vacation. ALSO, there are boots on the grounds everyday in communities making sure people are safe and strategizing ways to combat crime. I gues you on the TIP of TI this week, huh. Ask him he still goy guns in his house.

OH MY GOD! REALLY?!?! A Mother just lost two of the children she gave birth to! A woman just lost TWO of her Brothers at the same time! Two uncles, cousins, Fathers, and friends were lost and people decide to make this a political statement even before anyone one knows who, what, and where it happened! Is it really that difficult to just give one's condolences and shut the hell up! Jesus Christ they haven't even been buried yet!

I skimmed through looking for this. I knew it would be there. Black on Black crime is punished by the law. No need to protest. As Black people, well, real Black people like myself and many of your loyal readers? We've always been against Black on Black crime. If we weren't force fed crack cocaine, forced into impoverished neighborhoods, project communities,,,Shît, if we weren't only just a few decades removed from slavery...Yeah, anyway? Not going there. B.O.B crime is an issue in the Black community that needs to be addressed. We are losing our brothers to street violence on a daily. However, it should not be linked to murder by cop....two separate issues that need to be approached, discussed, mediated, and resolved differently.

Why does she have to do it PRIVATELY is my question? She BEEN doing stuff public like. Why private now? Folks are being damn unreasonable.

  • Noirluv45

Jenie, I disagree. Here's why: For decades, there are unsung heroes in Black communities around the country who work tirelessly to stop the declination of their neighborhoods such as a group called New Era Detroit and Mothers Against Senseless Killings in Chicago, so we do fight, but because it's not plastered all over the media, people don't know.

We need to wise up to the false narratives that Black people don't care about our communities because for decades, we've been fighting. Many don't know because they don't seek.

  • iWasteTime

This is terrible. Praying for comfort for her family.

TI needs to shush about black on black crime. When white people go crazy and kill their friends/neighbors, what are the chances that the victims are not white? People commit crime in their locality, percentage wise it's pretty much the same thing. Not good, but definitely not the same as cops targeting and killing people of one race.

  • Incog-knee-gress

I wonder what the motive was?

  • Blaque Mahogany

LFor us to really have an argument in the BLM movement WE MUST show that Black Lives Matter to Us!!!!!<<<< Reasons why this is BS!

    1) So in order for us to demand that the police not gun us down in the streets we must FIRST stop all violent crime in our community?? This logic is asinine. Why is it that we as a race always feel the need to justify the actions of others?

    2) His statement implies that we have not shown that black lives matter to us. This is incorrect. I have said several times on this very blog that there are hundreds of organizations dedicated to reducing gun violence and holding perpetrators of gun violence accountable for their actions.

    3) I don't know why it is so hard for people to understand the PURPOSE of BLM. Every organization has a mission. When your cable is acting up, you don't call the energy company. When you injure you toe, you don't get upset and demand to see a cardiologist at the hospital. Black Lives Matter is not an organization focused on the crimes occurring within the black community. They seek to hold LAW ENFORCEMENT accountable. You sound really dam stupid every time you mention BLM when an incident like this happens.

  • Miany

I'm through. if you can't tell the difference between criminals killing criminals and the law enforcement killing civilians than I am done. irony is...the folk who bring up BOB crime typically hold yt folk on a pedestal & compare yt to blacks all the time....but they fail to see that yt folk NEVER bring up white on white crime in the few instances that they are wrongfully killed by officers. yt can call for justice but we can't? speaking as a person who has never even held a gun, black on black crime is not the issue, its illegal...just like them guns u got caught with FOH tip.

  • Emily post

He has a glorified prostitution establishment using black women. He is going to give out lectures about the black lives. That is why its the biggest joke when peoples life work dont reflect any of the BS they are talking. SO many Celebrities and the Entertainment industry is so Fraud.

  • Miany

I'm so sorry for your loss.

  • LeBrick James

They had a show together, you had to IG her about the loss of her brothers?? You ain't have no other way to reach Toya?

  • SummerBaby

I read they had an argument in a club with someone. I'm not sure if that's true or not. Sad nonetheless. ?

  • Noirluv45

The idea that Black people have not fought and rallied to alleviate BOB crime is fallacious, and I wish we'd quite repeating falsehoods and start investigating facts. Blacks have always and will always fight crime in our neighborhoods. Just because you don't see it mentioned in the media, doesn't mean it's not going on behind the scenes. If people bother to do research, they would see that there are grassroots community activities doing their damn thing in their communities, so let's stop this b.s. about we don't care. What do you think the Black Panthers were about.

Another thing, if the police can't do anything to stop crime (crime will and always has been a part of the fabric of America, so it will never be alleviated), then there's only so much we citizens can do. My question is, what are you and I doing about it. We can talk until we are blue in the face, but every time BLM movement is brought up, the BOB argument comes up. When criminals commit crimes and are convicted of them, normally they go to jail. On the other hand, when police commit crimes against the people they are hired (on our dime) to protect and serve, they aren't held accountable, so let's stop comparing apples and oranges. It's really getting old.

S/N: People better be worried about all these White drug addicts floating around.

  • Bama251

    Thanks

  • Noirluv45

THANK YOU!!!! It's so frustrating to have to feed people information because they don't bother to research. People just repeat what they've heard and don't bother to read and get information. Lazy.

  • nucynu25

I knew some idiots were going to turn this into a "see that's why cops kill y'all , y'all kill each other. Blk lives gotta matter to blk ppl" Mfs sound so stupid . Are some of these mfs so shallow that their minds can not separate two different issues . • Noirluv45

Jenie, all violence must stop regardless of race, would you not agree? America was born in violence, and violence will continue as long as people's hearts are dark. Nothing's going to change that unless that person decides to change. None of us can control the actions of another person. We can only do what we can in our corner of the world. I told you that there are countless groups fighting for change, but you choose to remain ignorant. That's on you. Also, what are you doing about it? Are we mentoring? Do you volunteer? What? I do. I gave you examples, but you continue to parrot the same fallacious rhetoric. Truth and opinion are two different things. If you choose, after I explicitly gave you the facts, to choose the believe the lie, then that's on you.

TI is an idiot. They don't need to "respect" us but they need to obey the law and enforce it equally. That's the point. I could give a fucc if they like or respect us but it would be nice if they were required to uphold the law.

  • RespectSelf

I really don't like seeing people talk about BLM in the same sentence or conversation of "black on black" crimes. Yes, black people should not be killing each other. The question is why are they killing each other? Historically, how did black people get their hands on drugs, and guns?

This why black people are so separated. Black on black crimes is sponsored by other races who don't think blm.

  • PettyEyezPrime

I was wondering what the motive was. Was talking to a male friend Friday and he was talking about teaching his son how to fight...he said he didn't know if it was worth it because boys/men don't fight anymore. They solve issues with gun play.

"Without respect for each other, "they" will never respect us." Respectability politics doesn't work. It's as if we are saying, "It's our fault others don't respect us." No, it is not. White supremacy has nothing to do with us. I'm sure Martin, Malcolm, Edgar and the rest of our freedom fighters respected themselves. That didn't stop them from being murdered. Other's respect for us has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with a group who believes we are 3/5 human, criminals, sexual deviants, and overall inferior.

All perpetrators are not considered equal. The police are supposed to protect and serve, not kill us. We get no justice when they do it, but criminals more than likely, if convicted, will serve time. The violence won't stop. We live in a world that celebrates it. We see clips of violence every single day from the news to the Internet. In fact, these clips often go viral. How can America say, "Stop the violence," when it's genesis began with a violent take over? How can we say, "Stop the violence," When caught on tape police violence and shootings are looped over and over again? It's hypocritical because America planted it's violent seed, but then is perplexed at the fruit that grew from it.

Even White people avoid that area. If a survey was conducted, it would show that that area's crime is perpetrated by predominately White people. That's what happens when a demographic is populated by certain groups.

They make you look a certain way in the media to make the rest of the world hate us. We can walk around here in suits, evening gowns, all married, all educated and no killings amongst ourselves and THEY STILL WOULDNT GIVE A F - - K ABOUT US! #facts....In fact they would HATE IT if that was to happen, because they don't want to see us prosper AT ALL.

    2. Random black people are not going around shooting other black folks. Majority of black murders come from gang violence, so the correct term is GANG ON GANG violence, which btw continues because the police/government LET it continue. It could easily be stopped or heavily slowed down, but the drug war was built to specifically destroy blacks, plus it brings in a lot of money, so they are not trying to stop it.

police brutality and black on black crime are two different issues entirely and expecting fair just treatment from law enforcement should not be predicated on whether or not black people harm one another. crime is an occurrence that happens among all races and is the reason we still have a police force. crime/killing should not cease to exist for these officers to do their jobs properly (and if in fact it did cease to exist there'd be no reason for them so that lame argument TI and others attempt to make is dumb).

on a side note, I agree with the posters who pointed out that TI has profited from black on black crime himself so he's a bit hypocritical. before fame he sold drugs and was the very violent stereotype the police have constructed for black men. and after fame, he has continued to perpetuate and glorify his old lifestyle by rapping about it in his songs..

Mlk said it himself " he feared hr had integrated his ppl into a burning house ." Imagine if we would've marched our reparation , we've the group that has been oppressed & not paid . Imagine if we would've fought for our own land ..

it's not materialism, it's rising cost of living, inflation, limited resources and fewer opportunities. there is less violent crime when there are opportunities for more people to succeed. the past twenty years we've seen our middle class continue to erode away under crippling debt and fleeting job security. this is also why there is more tension among racial groups.

  • Teresa Uriel

T.I. needs to read this verse here because it fits his life story very well:

"Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed" Proverbs 13:21

This why he's ALWAYS in some trouble ( and got the nerve to call himself troubleman )...but as I was saying, he's always in some trouble because of his sins

we all got sins, BUT our thresholds with God are different...God can decide to Kill this person faster than He does another

When I saw this family on national television, I hoped they would make it, particularly the boys. Especially, when their father came to see them and talk to them, basically supporting Toya - who was trying to empower her brothers by letting them know their worth. But I also knew too, this was BIGGER than Toya. I hope she does not feel ANY guilt in ANY way. I want the best for my family too, but I know when we make it EVERYONE cant go. Everyone don't share the same vision of getting out of bad situations and making them better.

Really. Why is when we kill each other it is LABELED black on black crime. When white folks kill each other it is labeled as a crime and race is not included. White people kill each other 24/7 and I don't see any emergency need to do something statistics on that. I don't see Bill/Rush/Sean/Stacy talking about it in rotation 24 hours a day as if it is not a problem in the white communities. I never heard a white person say I feel left out when things are labeled black on black crime. As soon as they see something positive like Black Girls Rock all of a sudden white folks feel left out. Can't have it both ways white people. You wanna join us when it is good but when it is bad you want to be separated. Excuse me T.I. who was you gonna kill buying guys illegally in a parking lot at night. Couldn't wait to do it the next day when the gun stores open legally. You even made a song called "HURT" where you can hear the gunshots go off as part of the song. Now you got up and decided to be self righteous and blame BLM for this. You took part in Roots for 30 minutes and now you got a conscious. WOW!!

  • hottlanta

HELLO. just like Snoop complaining about Roots, looking like Aunt Jemina with that scarf on his head and prostitute black women as well.

  • Nikeinda(well, u know)

Let me preface this statement with "I/we don't know all the facts about how or why these young men's lives taken. Also, praying the Lord will grant this family strength to get through these difficult times." Honest question since we're speaking amongst family, if/when young black men meet their demise as a result of involvement in illegal activity are we to look at it through the same lens as say innocents getting hit by stray bullets (i.e. simple "wrong place/wrong time")? Isn't the take away here that we need to govern ourselves accordingly, stop promoting these morals and lifestyles that continue to denigrate our black community and make "doing better"/progression the only acceptable narrative? AND WHY THE HELL DOES BLM FIND IT'S WAY INTO EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE??? BLM becoming like Jesus is in every conversation concerning black folks no matter how unrelated! "Sista Odell got Diabetes"..."How we talking about BLM and our suga don't even matter to us"

  • Genia

WOW...i am so sad to hear this. My heart and prayers to the family

  • ChocolateChick84

Bottom line!! I don't know why people can't comprehend this concept. This is the reasoning that the BLM movement was built upon.

  • Shony2784

  • Noirluv45

It really is. There just comes a time when you just surrender and realize they choose to stay where they are. Too much energy expended to try to convince them otherwise. ?

  • BrittBrat2005

Right not to many black murders don't go unsolved they make sure they solve those with little evidence to put whom ever behind bars within a month. Its different then BLM, police kills with all the evidences, to witnesses to cameras, still get to walk free with a pat on the back and back to work they go.. But people don't look at it that way.

  • Nikeinda(well, u know)

    Amen...

  • PussyGal0re

Toya was actually in Baton Rouge LA at Allure when she received the news, not Atlanta. Sad as hell. This violence throughout the nation must end.

  • Butter CreamFactory

Right, not to mention al the races who make up the white race .. Jewish, German, Irish, Scottish.. They all white of course OUR numbers going to be higher!! But actually they kill eachother at a way higher rate. But again they White , down with white supremacy.. and they are in charge of everything including the data.. Oh and why they aint talking about all the Meth heads they got, where is the war on them.. Oh yeah , they white, and wouldn't you believe they get free treatment and all typs of programs. You wont see it on the News because they control that too.

  • PussyGal0re

We ARE killing each other at alarming rates. Call it whatever, its happening. Young white men aren't killing each other, women and babies senselessly day in and day out. Young white men don't make up the majority of the incarcerated population. We got to accept responsibility. Stop pushing this BS in our music and stop glorifying that lifestyle. It IS our fault and only WE can fix it. Pointing fingers won't solve anything. Call to action!

  • PussyGal0re

I fail to make the correlation between outside babies and speaking out against senseless violence. Whatever his moral character, he is right.

  • Butter CreamFactory

TI wasn't going to kill anyone, Why cant Black Folks like Guns? maybe he wanted a collection, who knows, and who cares. Its only Black folks who are judged on their pass. Its hard for Blacks to get guns legally, we want to protect our family too. I guess people cant change, wow!! He also went to jail and paid his debt with his freedom and money. You just like them white folks, I bet you forgive Them for slavery too. FOH!

Yes! Shame on TI for forcing those women to get naked! He ....AND Hugh Hefner should be burned at the stake. He saw a business opportunity and took it.That's adult business and those women are grown. He's not making them do anything and they'd be naked somewhere else if he closed his doors. But Hus message is true, substantial and worthy of discussion.

  • terry the champ

    Exactly!..????

  • terry the champ

    ???????????????

  • PussyGal0re

Right. They always judge your moral character when they can't accept the message. What does any of the myriad excuses you all have brought up got to do with what he's saying? He is right. Even a broke clock is right at least once a day, if that helps you. Why reject the message? Because it forces you to look within and none of us want to do that. We want to bury our heads in the sand while blaming everyone else for our problems. So over it.

  • Butter CreamFactory

It still doesn't have anything to do with it! but I will not go back and forth about it.

  • PussyGal0re

Yes, if we're smart enough to know we're still suffering from the effects of 400 years if oppression then why aren't we smart enough to fix it? Waiting on THEM to fix...will be ANOTHER 400 years. Killing each other isn't fixing it. Yes, the police kill unarmed black men. We can fight more than one cause at a time. Personally, I don't think one is more important than the other. They're EQUALLY outraging but arguing over it is WASTING TIME when that effort could be directed to actually FIXING THIS SHIT! ALL OF IT!

  • hi-liter

She said she couldn't DM Toya because they both have blocked one another. I don't know, me personally, if I had been publically beefing with somelike that, I wouldn't have anything to say, good or bad about their loss. If K. Michelle is genuine, this lil shat her and Toya got going should be squashed. Not saying they are going to be best friends but after offering condolences, and then go back to showing Toya's marriage breakdown on tv at your concerts would be pretty fake.

Because the WORLD is thinking it. A lot of you are in denial. It may not be politically correct, but "others" legitimately ASK how can BL matter to us, when they don't matter to YOU? Its the old adage, you teach people how to treat you. I've encountered so many others that think they need to talk a certain way simply because I'm black. Whether we like it or not, you can't change peoples mind. One idea of us is constantly pushed and we're doing zero to change that perception. It's NOT PC, but it's TRUE. It's that uncomfortable conversation none of us, both black & white, are willing to have. I resent being thought of as "hip hop", but can I blame folks for this assumption? No. I can educate them and refrain from engaging in BS behavior, thus contributing to the problem. That's where "LOOKING WITHIN" begins. STOPPING the BS behavior and upholding all of the WRONG values. Worldstar HH, for one.

  • Butter CreamFactory

So who is actually doing these driveby murders? Its been reported as well as in the Past. These white folks come in the hood and commit these crimes too! Don't believe me, look up White supremacy. Oh and watch Hidden colors, Part 1,2,3,4

  • Butter CreamFactory

Wonder where we learned that from? the boys in Blue do it and white supremacy has been doing it for centuries.

  • PussyGal0re

Proximity? That's all? Anywhere there's poverty and LACK OF EDUCATION, crime will flourish. Add in drugs, disruptive behavior being glorified, fathers missing from the home, grandparents raising children, no communication, parents no longer "parenting", images on TV, removal of spirituality, low values & morals and you have what we have here. So many factors. Where to begin is the problem.

  • PussyGal0re

If wow crime was anissue, I'm sure someone would bring it up. Why are we so concerned about how the next us treated and so unwilling to admit there's a problem? All of these gymnastics but young BM are dying and being incarcerated in DROVES!! Not THEM, US! Who cares what they think or are doing to help? WE MUST HELP US FIRST! There IS a problem! Get your head out of the sand!

Sorry , but this is stupid to me ..completely stupid to me . Why do you care so much abt what they think ? You know once upon a time we were on our own land , with our own culture & they still raped & murdered us . Do bc they are ignorant bc they stereotype you , you want to educate them & show them you're not like the rest if us
Why should I have to prove that I am an individual . Ppl will always kill ppl it is apart of life . if you keep waiting for blk ppl to stop killing each other to get justice you are going to be waiting a very long time . When white ppl are murdered do we make excuses , do we bring up how many times they've killed each other ? Bc you do note white ppl kill white ppl than any other race , right ?

If you keep waiting for your oppressor to save you, you'll be just that.... Waiting. Its NOT in their best interest to help us. I can't believe this is your complaint. What do you expect the ENEMY to do? Is this stall tactic? We should help ourselves. Its time to cut the shit and stop with the excuses.

This is very heartbreaking..im the oldest of 2 brothers and id lose my shit if i lost my brothers especially at the same time..many prayers.goes to this family

I never said he wasn't apart of the problem. I do agree with his statement just as I would if someone else said it.

  • PussyGal0re

It STILL does NOT negate what he is saying.

    Do YOU understand?

    Clearly NOT!

  • JENNYJONES1

T.I'S STATEMENT IS CALLED GROWTH AND MAYBE AN EPIPHANY SOMETHING ALOT OF PEOPLE NEVER EXPERIENCE. BLACK ON BLACK CRIME IS A PROBLEM ESP WHEN WE ARE THE MINORITY AND OUR MURDER RATE AGAINST EACH OTHER EQUALS THAT OF THE MAJORITY AKA WHITES. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU AND OTHERS CAN'T SEE THAT AS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. I'M SO SICK OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY ALWAYS WANTING TO CALL OUT EVERYONE'S DIRTY DEEDS BUT WANNA SWEPT OUR BS UNDER THE RUG LIKE IT'S GENOCIDE TO SPEECH OF OURS. SMH!!! THE STREETS ARE COLD AND BUCKETS ARE STILL FULL OF CRABS. THE BS MUST STOP!!! R.I.P. TO TOYA'S BROTHERS AND MAY GOD GIVE ALL OF THEIR LOVE ONES PEACE AND STRENGTH...........JENNY JONES!!!

  • JENNYJONES1

EXACTLY!!!! THERE ARE NUMEROUS REPORTS THAT MLK, JR HAD EXTRA MARITAL AFFAIRS BUT DOES THAT TAKE AWAY FROM ALL OF HIS GREAT, GREAT DEEDS FOR HIS PEOPLE AND A ZILLION OTHERS. PEOPLE HATE THE TRUTH. SMH!!!.........JENNY JONES!!!

  • JustB

BLM movement was not created in response to black on black crime...two different situations...js

  • Peter Piper ATL

What's "misguided" about pointing out the obvious? T.I. has piled up millions by encouraging the same kind of violence that claimed Toya's brothers. In fact, wasn't T.I. arrested while stockpiling guns in preparation of a murder? Remember the "no pop, no sound" comment he made in those secret recordings--an indication he was likely going to murder someone in their home?

You can't excuse ignorance, and anybody that makes excuses for T.I.--who is just as responsible for black murder if you ask me, as racist police officers are--is just as ignorant as he is.

T.I. was quite hypocritical to call out BOB when he is a major arbiter and benefactor of it.

  • ShadyBaby

What are the names please I know someone that could use your help. Very interesting you claim to do two non profits because if its fully operational and legally accounted for I'm surprised you have time to run two. I never claimed that I worked for a non profit but I actually mentor young teen moms that have to go to alternative high school. See the thing isn't about one generation turning over centuries of systematic racism, its about everyone doing their part. Whether it's going to college and getting a good job, fathers raising their babies or minorities becoming leaders.

  • Peter Piper ATL

Let's face it: this is a lost generation with many more to come. Black America once had virtuous, illuminating figures to look up to such as MLK, Jr., and Barbara Jordan and so many others. they've passed on and been replaced by T.I., Young Jeezy, and Nicki Minaj??

No other culture glorifies its troubled elements the way in which we do. Block parties and clubs packed when T.I. drops a new track filled with references to drugs flowing through poor BLACK neighborhoods. Where are the block parties for the young men and women of color who graduate with honors from Morehouse, Spellman, Harvard??

Let's not pretend our problems don't run deep. Blacks don't even control commerce in our own neighborhoods, of which Koreans, Chinese, Indians, Jews and Arabs have full control. And its not getting better, because so many of youa re enriching these people by spending thousands of dollars per year on fake hair products that do nothing aside from propping up your false sense of beauty and to hide your deep seated insecurities.

And also, so you can look "cute" in church on Sunday--where the preacher finishes fleecing you of whatever the Korean hair merchants didn't get out of you.

BOB is just part of the problem. It is one of the many symptoms of a failed social structure

  • Emily post

#blank stare# lol some of you people need to cut it out. Serious Denial

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

There are already organizations that deal with black-on-black violence so why should BLM# have to focus on black-on-black violence when they prefer to focus on holding police accountable and as I pointed out T.I. needs to clean up his life before pointing the finger at someone else.

  • jade

There is a NEED to protest black on black crime because even if the perpetrators are punished by the law, the effects remain the same: fatherless children, likely to grow up in poverty to be raised by the streets and suffer the same ill fate.

Also, many more black on black murders go unsolved than they are solved.

  • Dkwitty

That's right TIP you tap-dance for your white audience like the uncle tom you are. The eight-time felon you are. I suppose all those machine guns and silencers he was purchasing in a parking lot were to harm whites and not his fellow blacks? How about that time he was fighting in the club and got his best friend murdered?

At 12 am Toya's brother should have been at home in bed with his pregnant girlfriend - not running the streets. Live by the gun, die by the gun. Hard to feel sympathy for those types.

  • hottlanta

If he wasn't gonna kill nobody he should have waited for the gun store to open the next day when the sun was up like any respectable citizen if he didn't have anything to hide. People who collect guns go to gun shows. Is he paying you or something. Wasn't his daughter just recently caught at the airport with a gun. Let's keep it real since T.I. is feeling a little poetic this morning. Toya brothers were thugs who REFUSED on purpose not to contribute anything positive to society and you want me to cry for them. This girl is parading this pregnancy around like it is a badge of honor. Now dad is gone and money can't even get a Social Security check because dad NEVER had a job. We gotta take care of that baby. Let's talk about that. T.I. said he was a cool dude. Really T.I., how cool would he be if he got your daughter pregnant. You wouldn't like it because it would be too much like looking at yourself in the mirror because the chickens have come home to roost.

  • hottlanta

These black guys join the gangs ON PURPOSE. T.I. needs to address that.

  • JENNYJONES1

SOOOO DOES THAT BRING BACK HER BROTHERS OR THE THOUSANDS PROBABLY MILLIONS OF OTHER BLACKS KILLED BY OTHER BLACK PEOPLE? I FORGOT IT ISN'T A PROBABLY B/C THE BULLET OR KNIFE CAME FROM ANOTHER BLACK PERSON, RIGHT? LORD HELP US ALL.........JENNY JONES!!!!

  • Butter CreamFactory

I feel ya boo! I think the only reason someone would purchase a illegal weapon is because they couldn't get one legally. So what then? He has a right to protect his family, don't you see he dammed if he do or don't. What would you do, not protect your family because THEY say you cant own one? With that being said , he can still care about black on black crime.

  • hottlanta

T.I. needs to go somewhere and sit down. He knows good and well if he saw some guys looking like them walking in his GATED community he will call the police. That is how he feels about black on black crime as long as it is not in my neighborhood. Who wants to hurt his family for him to do such a thing after midnight since he is living such a righteous life. I don't feel I need to get a gun.

  • hottlanta

Thank you. Folks been on the ground rolling tackling black on black violence before BLM.

  • Butter CreamFactory

    Well I didn't either but now I feel different. #staystrapped #shootfirst #wakeupblackpeople

  • Chaseboogie The Prince

DAMN!!!! Now that was a line for the ages. Well put.

  • hottlanta

I would go to a gun store to get a gun when the sun is up, not when the moon is up. Protecting your family is doing things the right way to keep you from going to jail for doing things the wrong way. I am sure picking up that gun in Roots brought back some Bankhead memories for T.I. He was like yep I am home.

Yes they are Honey, at higher rates than is black folks! White people ARE killing babies, woman senselessly. And the meth epidemic is Crazy, they wont show the deformed children they producing. But the Media only focuses on BLACKS to further push the propaganda that we are all savages.. Its called white supremacy sweetheart. White men get slaps on the wrist for crimes Blacks get Years for. Come on you cant be this blind. And its the Media that's pushing and glorying the lifestyle, ever heard of Hollywood? If you are Black please go watch Hidden Colors 1,2,3,4. Research white supremacy. They make the laws to keep us disenfranchised, and impoverished. Are you black? How old are you? This bothers me a lot that you feel this way.

  • kekeb

Yes, this is sad. But Isn't this what WE do (kill eachother with words and weapons) then get mad at white people for calling us out on it?
    Do #BLACKLIVESMATTER to us??

  • BlueCandy

STOP SPEAKING THIS TRUTH! You'll be labeled as White or a Self-Hater. Please keep your eyes closed and just fall in line with the other sheep.

"Because the WORLD is thinking it. A lot of you are in denial. It may not be politically correct, but "others" legitimately ASK how can BL matter to us, when they don't matter to YOU? Its the old adage, you teach people how to treat you...."THAT IS WHAT YOU SAID LUV..i am not concerned what the opioions of others & again it makes no sense to talk on the magical unicorn of blk on blk crime & sterotypes..2 separate issues.. I agree what you for the most part but at the end of the day they are two separate issues. GOOD DAY

Mother Denied Parole After Broiling Her 14-Month-Old Daughter alive in a 600-Degree Oven

An Alabama mother sentenced to 25 years in jail for putting her 14-month-old daughter in a 600-degree oven has officially been denied parole this week.

Despite previously claiming it was an accident, Melissa Wright, 40, pleaded guilty to the attempted murder of her daughter, Ashley Smith, in 2003. According to WSFA, Wright "removed the racks out of the oven, turned it to broil and waited for it to heat up, and then put her head first into that oven." When her father heard Smith screaming, he quickly ran to the kitchen.

Smith suffered severe third-degree burns and received over 25 reconstructive surgeries after she was pulled from the oven by her father. Now 15, she argued against Wright being released from jail early because she believes she might still be a threat to her niece and nephew, who are currently both still very young.

"I honestly do not trust her and I'm afraid for their safety," she said, according to Us Weekly. "I can't imagine anybody being in as much pain as I was in... I do not hate Melissa, but I do not love her. I forgave Melissa."

According to People, the state's parole board rejected Wright's request for an early release on Tuesday, and she will not be eligible for parole again until 2021.

John Kennedy was the king of affairs when he had his mistress Marilyn sing Happy Birthday to him while his wife was there. Does that take away from what he does. His dad also made money illegally during prohibition did the government take away those illegal profits. Yet if I lived in public housing and my brother sold drugs and if he got caught, even though I didn't know anything about it I will have to move. Yet the Kennedy family has generational wealth off illegal liquor.

  • hottlanta

Why aren't you on it. What is your excuse. Oh my bad you waiting on someone else to start it while you come on this board and discuss your dissatisfaction but yet you do nothing.

Of course we are. Do not discount those of us who fight the fight, administer the programs all while trying to stay alive for our own families. "These folks' work unpaid overtime and may not be on your radar. No, we don't have the power needed to address such an endemic psychosocial issue, but what have you done today? I wasn't born in an urban area and don't have family in gangs. I put the work in.

  • Anji

No. You can't see it. Waiting until you "make it" is an excuse to say "let someone else do the work". I began at age 17.

  • Butter CreamFactory

When I say make it, I mean when I can make a difference, and You do need Money to do it. So let me rephrase. I cant make people stop killing eachother, but I can do something. You're right!

  • Butter CreamFactory

What you doing Anji, I can be down with your group!

  • Anji

Smart enough? It takes more than intellect. I didn't put this burden on my people and while I may address it and fight against it, all of my and other organizations cannot stop this without a concerted, genuine effort by our government. I can work with the walking wounded but I can't fix the social construct that creates the cycles that systemic hate produced. We're not waiting on "them"....maybe we're waiting on "you".

lol...I feel like that...they want blacks to collectively perform a miracle before we get equal protection under the law.

  • Anji

Where to begin is not a problem. Choose 2-3 areas where your contributions may matter the most. Being stagnant is the true problem. For me it's been decades and I often slide over to other issues to assist dependent upon time and need. I support BLM when they need although that isn't my focus.

  • Lorenzo Chaps

Nefarious activity caught up to them? Sad, but you have to look at she got out, but they didn't. Did they want to or gave in to what they knew as keeping it real? I guess.

Why DO black people get mad when someone says anything about black on black crime? I don't get it. Will her mom leave now? Then the flip side is if Toya doesn't have this mindset, y'all can't stay here. Sorry. Phuck that. I got gutter hood family that I just don't deal with or visit. FB is close enough.

  • Lorenzo Chaps

Yeah I follow her on IG and she was really pretty heading to her event in Baton Rouge that night.

  • Lorenzo Chaps

Nope. We view as it is, as Im sure Toya did. Like damn, their schit finally caught up with them or they were caught slipping. If my sister got out the hood, you better believe I'd be trying to get her to pay for my education or trade school, etc, to get me out the damn hood too. Aint nothing great about any hood. Nothing. Why are you comparing us to White people. I don't give two shits about what White people do to each other. It's a moot point. TI's comment spoke to how WE treat each other and it is the TRUTH. Who gives a fukk abt white on white crime!

Y'all feening, how do y'all know who killed them. It could be a person of any race. How do u know if the murderers was black. You don't even know who murdered them. It could be anybody. Dont assume they was black without facts. Nobody know wuts behind the srory.
