A few fashion bloggers are exposing the turmoil behind the scenes at several fashion shows where male models are dominating womenswear runway shows.
Male model Max Fieschi (pictured above) was one of the non-traditional models in the Vivienne Westwood runway show over the weekend.
Male model Dustin Phil led the female cast on the runway for Vivienne Westwood. He also walked in several other womenswear shows in Paris this past week.
Sandrarose.com readers also spotted a bare chested male model sashaying down the catwalk at a womenswear show last week. They easily confused the male model for a female.
For every male model who is hired for a fashion show cast in Paris, a female model doesn’t eat.
Fashion purists fear that male models will soon become the norm on the runway for womenswear fashion shows.
Fashion blog High Snobiety explained that “The women’s industry is much, much bigger than men’s — the vast majority of dollars spent on fashion comes from females…”
Thanks to President Barack Obama putting men in women’s restrooms, it only makes sense that androgynous male models will soon push biological females off the runway.
CNN says it’s “only appropriate” that male models lead the way in womenswear. After all, this is still a man’s world.
