9-year-old Joseph Levi is being hailed as a hero for catching his infant brother as he fell from a changing table at home.
The incident happened last month in upscale Bal Harbour, Florida, as Tila Levi, a mother of 5, placed her 11-month-old son on a changing table and carelessly turned her back on him.
A surveillance camera in the room captured what happened next.
Little Joseph wandered into the nursery just in time to see his baby brother squirm to the edge of the table.
As the baby fell, quick-thinking Joseph lunged forward and caught the infant just before the child's head impacted the floor.
Joseph says he believes divine intervention played a part in his miraculous catch.
"I could have never ran that fast," he told WSVN 7News, adding that "I feel like something pushed me forward."
"At first I said I messed up," Tila Levi told WSVN. "But… everyone's been confessing about when they dropped their baby."
The guilt-ridden mother said she held onto the video for a month before uploading it to Facebook because she hoped it would save another baby's life.
"Obviously I am more careful, but at the end of the day, [accidents] happens in a second. And I think that all of our lives can change in a second."
