banned book

The left is pushing full steam ahead with its agenda to indoctrinate children -- especially boys -- into the gay lifestyle.

A North Carolina elementary school banned a book titled Jacob's New Dress from the core curriculum after a growing backlash.

The radical left is so determined to undermine traditional family values that they are targeting children in elementary school.

A child advocacy group says the book Jacob's New Dress is inappropriate "for any child whose parents support traditional family values."

“The purpose of our elementary schools is to teach writing, reading and arithmetic, not to encourage boys to wear dresses,” wrote an official with the N.C. Values Coalition in a statement to The Charlotte Observer.

The book was written by a heterosexual couple whose gender confused son preferred wearing pink dresses. The boy is now 14. It isn't clear if he's still wearing dresses.

"Clearly there is more work to do," said the book's co-author Ian Hoffman, who expressed his disappointment that children won't benefit from the book's message of "love and acceptance".

Co-author Sarah Hoffman even invoked the name of the late civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. to support her argument that her book won't influence confused children to experiment with the transgender lifestyle.

"If a white kid reads a book about Martin Luther King, Jr., will they become black?" she said.

As they should... which is why I home school mine....,

  • Blak

Absolutely OBSCENE. I could care less is these white people want to support their child's mental illness and not provide them with what they need to properly function, but we cannot continue to allow this to disrupt how other people, who have actual moral and values, want to raise their family. None of this bs belongs in schools and no wonder why so many people are home schooling their children or sending them to private, religious based schools.

  • Django the God

Do you teach them the earth is round or flat?

My son just started taking a class and the instructor said his math was good.

I don't know how, I haven't showed him anything really.

  • iWasteTime

I'm sure the list of Traditional Family Values is long and not completely represented in ONE American Family.
I'll use Ralph Shortey as an example, a Conservative Republican recently arrested for soliciting a minor male for sex. Where did Traditional Family Values come in to that transaction? Shortey has a wife and three daughters, a "Traditional" American family.
I argue if he had access to accepting his true self, he'd not have ruined his, his wife and children life.

As soon as white folks can't get their way they always revert back to using Black Folk and our struggle for civil rights. Kids learn very early in life that there are gay folks in this world and this book doesn't necessarily have to be part of the mainstream curriculum in order to teach kids that not everyone is the same.. Put it in the school library. If lady-boys want to read it then at least it's available.

  • Ain’t Misbehavin

What the hell does MLK have to do with the price of rice in China!? So now we are comparing gay fiction to real world leaders that happen to be black? Oh ok....

  • bemetoo

so basically she the author is saying just because jacob wears a dress dosent mean other kids are... omg yt people...

  • doubledee

As they should. This is ridiculous!

  • Rachel

Family values should be taught at home. This not the schools job to raise our children with our values. This would not be welcome in my home.

  • Taylordanes

I work with a curriculum as well as a science and math camp. My husband also works in the arts and they have a program at his job that teaches music and different dance styles..... I also travel with them at least 4 times a year to see the world... at the moment they believe the earth is round like the sun and other planets....

  • Ain’t Misbehavin

I was just thinking, this would never fly in catholic schools. Thing's are getting out of hand, folks are trying to sway our youth knowing they are impressionable at those ages.

  • Django the God

Oh I only asked because Shaq said the earth was flat lask week.

I think kids learn plenty from just playing until they are like 6 or 7.

  • Taylordanes

I don't entertain Shaq. He's a shucker and jiver for massa... he had the nerve to speak against Kaepernicks silent stand.....

  • Django the God

    Did he?

  • MsChocCookie

Best News I heard today, ban that mess!!!

  • Taylordanes

    YEP ....

  • KarmaBackAround

“If a white kid reads a book about Martin Luther King, Jr., will they become black?” she said.

Really tired of black folks being used this way. Just support your Civil Rights and stop hoping on the black bandwagon that included slavery, rape, torture, etc....... not in the same category.

  • YellowSauce

keep your agenda TO YOURSELF please and Thank You ... I know adults that can't even make up their own mind so I'm SUPPOSED TO LET YOU .... I do not think so

  • https://twitter.com/Chicagowise Chicagowise

I'm gay and I DO NOT approve of this message!

  • Kayke

If the son of the author would have liked pink dildos would she allow him one, to wear it or carry it around? I bet not. Kids can like anything, find it fascinating or pretty, however as parents you let them know it's not for them and you don't allow them the choice to make. Be the parent.
Definitely pushing an agenda with this book, it's far from innocent.

  • stav

They believe it , because it is facts! Thanks for your comments.!

  • 2brefrank

Well this is disturbing, i don't understand the new wave of thought processes...something is happening to people's brains. I really wanna home school my kids when they get older. My children go to a daycare where 2 women were confused as to why it was not okay to put my son's in "play dresses".

They were both terminated from their employment. The End.

  • MistaO

That bitch is disgusting for dragging MLK, and by extension the Black struggle, into her pile of crap position.

  • ebonics

Im homeschooling my baby girl once she is old enough. She is a year and a half and already knows her abc's and 123's. The school system is sooo corrupt, I do not need them messing with her mind, and teaching her a bunch of nonsense. I read they were giving out satanic coloring books here in Colorado not too long ago, yet the holy bible is banned. Im good on all that. They can have their satanist coloring books, and christopher columbus, etc.

  • Sacha

Good it should be banned. If people want to parent like Charlize Theron thats there business. But leave my son and I out of it. That type of book has No place in public school or private school

  • Mssugamoma

    Amen!

  • ebonics

What happened? Everyone got banned and the site is left dormant? lol

  • Ajavee

folks are trying to sway our youth knowing they are impressionable at those ages.

    That?

  • Layah Jhene

And this ladies and gentlemen is why I homeschool my kids. They have never stepped foot inside a daycare center or public school. The bullshyt of America school system is just....UGH.

  • MRiGOThim

My husband has kids & we're gay...I'm not sure about this book & glad he makes those decisions :P
