Rapper Nicki Minaj surprised her faithful fans by giving back on Twitter.com over the weekend. The “Anaconda” rapper responded to a handful of fans begging for money by offering to help them pay for college expenses.

It all started when Nicki, 34, took to Twitter on Saturday, May 6, to promote a contest for fans to attend the Billboard Music Awards with her later this month if they upload a video of themselves singing her song “Regret in Your Tears”.

When one fan asked her to pay his college tuition, Minaj offered to pay if the follower could prove he was getting good grades.

“Show me straight A’s that I can verify w/ur school and I’ll pay it. Who wants to join THAT contest?!?!” she replied.

Before long, Nicki received dozens of requests for college tuition. She responded personally to each fan and offered to pay their expenses.

“@NICKIMINAJ I have $500 left of my tuition to be paid, single mother raising me and my lil (sic) bro.. from Queens, (New York), you would help me a lot,” one fan tweeted.

“Got u,” Nicki replied.

When it was all said and done, Nicki reportedly pledged over $25,000 in funds to her various fans.

“Ok u guys. It’s been fun,” she tweeted. “Let me make those payments tmrw (sic) then see if I have any money left. I’ll do some more in a month or 2.”
