San Diego Chargers security guard

A former NFL security guard who was caught pleasuring himself during a San Diego Chargers home game last year has pled guilty to performing a lewd act in public.

The unidentified man (or teenage boy) was sentenced to three years probation and counseling.

A female fan sitting near the end zone captured cell phone video of the man pleasuring himself near the Chargers cheerleaders. The woman said the Chargers refused to return her phone calls about the incident.

ABC News San Diego affiliate Team 10 reports that police quietly investigated, charged and sentenced the man after he pled guilty. The news station did not release his name for his own protection.

The man was fired from his job at Elite Security Services and voluntarily surrendered his security guard license less than two weeks after the video went viral on social media.

As a condition of his plea agreement, the man does not have to register as a sex offender.

Team 10 spoke to the woman who uploaded the video on her Facebook page. The woman, who requested anonymity, said she hopes the court-ordered counseling will “give him the help he needs”, if not, she said, “someone will get hurt later.”
