Nick Cannon

Complex magazine kicks off the launch of its new series Complex Closets with a tour of media mogul Nick Cannon's massive closets at his New Jersey mansion.

Hosted by Complex's Joe La Puma, the new series gives viewers an exclusive look inside the lavish closets of some of the most fascinating pop culture figures today.

Nick Cannon

Joe takes viewers on a tour of Nick's immaculate closets, including a climate-controlled closet that holds his priceless collection of retro Air Jordan sneakers. "I'm a Jordan freak so I got a whole closet dedicated just to Jordan," said Nick.

In another closet Nick shows off the most expensive shoes in the world -- a pair of diamond studded loafers fit for a king!

Tom Ford diamond shoes

Nick explained why he dished out $2 million for his bedazzled Tom Ford shoes.

"Obviously I'm an over-the-top dude, and I wanted to stunt. You win $1 million on America's Got Talent if you win the show, so I was like, 'Yo, I want to have a million dollars on each foot.' It took a year and a half to make these, so I've been planning for so long. The goal is to sell them and donate all the proceeds to charity."

On his dream of one day designing his own pair of bedazzled Wild 'N Out Air Jordans, Nick said "Ever since I launched Wild 'N Out, it's been my dream to have a Wild 'N Out Jordan. I would ask [MJ], and he would tap me on my head and say, 'Maybe one day.'"

  • n1kk1a

Why didnt he just donate the $2 million he spent on the shoes to charity?

  • ThaRealist StudioGangster

    First!!!!

  • Yoni7

I hope he donates what he doesn't want/wear anymore like Colin K. did with his.

  • SpiceGirl

not only was you first (big deal) then you UPVOTE your own comment?? Smdh.....Life...get you one...ijs

  • Yoni7

    RIGHT! LMAO

  • stav

Right , those shoes are tacky as is his daily attire!

  • SpiceGirl

one of those kids done strayed away from MTO.....that comment section is OFF the meat rack!! I stays away for it...

  • Tammie Reed

What a waste in my opinion but hey, it's "his" money! I would hate for someone to dictate to me what I should do with my hard earned money that I worked for. I don't know what he does in her spare time, who he donates to or whatever, so to each his own.....lol.

  • Sorry_Not_Sorry

Tom Ford clothing is extremely overpriced and those shoes are not worth it. But them again I'm not his target market so oh well

  • Yoni7

    Haven't been in YEARS! LOL

  • bemetoo

News flash!! Nick you're just not that interesting for someone to purchase those shoes from you for charity.. You were better off just donating the 2mil to charity

  • WutizaGRANNY!
  • Junkanoo

Not impressed it doesnt make sense to my mind to have more stuff than you actually use he's a hoarder

  • NicoleZee

He's an idiot, plain and simple. With $2 million, I would be making sure me and my child never go broke and homeless and invest most of that money. I don't get why wealthy people do things like this. Although it's their money, we can still have our opinion and say how ridiculous they waste money that most people wish they had. I'm inclined to believe that every celebrity is an attention seeker. I couldn't have that life, no privacy, no peace of mind, and no common sense half the time. SMDH! Geeeesh!

  • TawnyDelux

i dont understand rich people stuffs

  • Lorenzo Chaps

I like Nick, but I was bored reading this. A shoe collection? I guess. $2M for a pair of shoes? I don't count or try to tell anybody how to spend their money, but that's stupid.

  • NicoleZee

Me either. Well, if Oprah can build a school in Africa and make impolite comments about American kids, then I guess cornball Nick can buy $2 million shoes. Ridiculous. Their money, their stupidity I suppose. And many wealthy people end up owing millions in taxes and filing for bankruptcy. Sad.

  • The Realest 514

He is so extra corny with this lame show idea. There are too many people who don't have shoes at all and this dude is bragging on his closet. This is the diva stuff I don't like. If he really wanted to make an impact, have a show where you give away stuff like this - share the wealth. He could have just donated 2 million to charity. What a joke....

  • Jen_no_juice

A closet just for Jordans and a pair of shoes worth 2mil??? Rich people issues

  • Scromes1212

It's good he is trying to donate the proceeds but he could probably do more good by explaining to kids how it doesn't make sense to pay 200 dollars for shoes that cost 5 dollars to make. Or headphones smh

  • NicoleZee

He's corny. I'm trying to figure out how he gets women, must be the money as I always say. I wouldn't want an immature goofball on my arm. He seems nice from what I hear, and he's cute, but he's still goofy.

  • NicoleZee

His ex Mariah does the same types of things. Not sure if she still has this place, but she was RENTING a penthouse apartment in NYC for millions per month. Who the hell pays that much in RENT??? Why not just buy a home, it's a better investment??! I swear if I had that type of money, I would not rent or get a loan to pay for anything. Paying in full for reasonable things if you have the money makes more sense, but others may disagree.

  • Scromes1212

The irony is he seems to attract older women lol

  • NegraGata

He said he wanted to "stunt" so he bought them for himself to use first...that's how most things get to charity by donating what you no longer want...#hismoneyhischoice

  • TawnyDelux

    exactly

  • NicoleZee

Well, Mariah liked something about him and she certainly doesn't need his money. Most guys that I know his age are severely immature. It's like raising another child dating someone like that. But hey, these chicks are attracted to him, might be his bedroom skills, who knows??!! I just can't win; dudes my age (30s) are too immature and dumb, and then dating an older man is like being with a corpse or a tree! Guess I'll just become a nun, that way I won't need any man but Jesus :)!!! LOL!

  • WutizaGRANNY!
  • NicoleZee

    No, it's dumb people issues!

  • SpiceGirl

don't go....most of those kids need to STAY in school.

  • Coy little wink

Why not just give the 2 mil to charity???

  • Renee26

    He needed to stunt

  • Scromes1212

Lol I don't know, I'm sure he feels like it's working for him. As for you lol maybe you looking in the wrong places. Or maybe your like Hallie Berry lol

  • Noirluv45

I always thought people who overindulged in things, whether food, drink, clothes, shoes, sex, etc) were missing something in their lives. It's like so many of us seek peace of mind in things and not substance. Just a thought.

  • Yoni7

    Some adults too. LOL

  • Coy little wink

9th circuit court deals Trump travel ban another defeat! ??

  • SuperScooper1

He might, anonymously. We don't know. If Lyor Cohen can buy Hong Kong made blazers at allegedly 10k a pop, Nick can do what he wants.

  • SuperScooper1

Intersectionality is a myth. If you're elated because the protections of civil liberties and the implications of a travel ban that's great. But to think the travel ban directly affects Black Folks is naive.

Were the people from the countries on the ban list protesting when Black Folks were being used as target practice in excessive force cases last year? Probably not. This is not our fight/We need to plan and worry about our own issues re: Mass incarceration, the Public School to Private Prison Pipeline, Healthcare, etc.

  • NeverSurprised

It depends. The New York apartment was probably held in the name of one of her companies, so she can deduct the rent as a business expenses for she or any of her employees use it primarily to conduct business. In her tax bracket, write-offs become very important.

  • Quitedeliteful

His shoe collection is excessive but he has plenty money, his children are well taken care of and he definitely stays on his grind so I'm like, do you, Boo... I won't be following this Complex series though because the only closet I'm really concerned about is my own.

  • SingleGalCrazyWorld

I agree...the people called dirty in middle school now have a closet full of clothes, etc. and the baldheaded chicks from middle school now have lacefronts down they back...

  • Coy little wink

I'm elated because it just shows once again that Trump has no idea what he is doing. You must be new here trying to school me...where did I say anything about my race or our fight? I didn't

  • NeverSurprised

If Mariah were publicly blasting him for child support, I might see a problem with his extravagance, but since she isn't....it's his money. I don't allow anyone to tell me how to spend mine, so I won't pass judgment on how he chooses to spend his. I just really wish he would stop wearing those turbans. They make him look like a simpleton.

  • Quitedeliteful

    LOLLOLLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Quitedeliteful

    LOLLOLLOLLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Quitedeliteful

    LOLLOLLOL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • XoXo

Never show off what you have. When they get robbed, don't complain.

  • SpiceGirl

    true.....sad but true....

  • SuperScooper1

Wasn't trying to school you; It's that I've noticed that people of color (Black people) seem to always end up holding the bag and painted as "aggressive" re: reaction to these issues. Trump is allegedly looking to use U.S. Code › Title 18 › Part I › Chapter 115 › § 2384 re: Sedition and who do you think he'll come for first?

White folks are white first; Middle Eastern people are clannish depending on their country of origin. Travel ban is inherently about race and religion, but a "win" for some may end up being a loss for us in the end. My point is, it's cool that Trump is facing Legislative and Judicial defeats, but it really has nothing to do with the long term safety and health of Black people. He'll just keep upping the ante until he gets his way and I don't want you or me left holding the bag because it's a sure thing those people will be organized and quiet as church mice when it all goes down.

  • Messenger

Looks like he is saying... "Hey, look what I have." And I say, who cares?

  • Michelle

He has Lupus. Sometimes it causes their hair to thin and fall out or bald in certain spots. My sister has some bald spots at the top of her hair because of it. So most likely he wears them because of that

  • hottlanta

If he was a woman showing off a closet of full red bottoms and expensive $20,000,00 purses women would not be complaining.

  • Tlowe89

He gone end up like Jim Kardashian, or Chris Brown's did at his house

  • Tlowe89

He could wear a hat. I agree with the above poster, the turban on him looks wack.

  • RicanLBC

This is an overpaid CLOWN!!!! At first, I thought he was a genius with all his endeavors and side hustles....but when his head got overinflated and he lost that gig on AGT... I thought u are truly a fool! He never grew up.. Mariah interrupted him!??????

  • Junkanoo

Weve been conditioned to fill the void in life with material goods which never fills the void cause you always want more and more which indicates few know the difference between what they want vs what they actually need.

  • Starsky Willows

He looks miserable and depressed to me. Can that be from his illness? He just seems off the past couple of years.

  • hottlanta

Naw he ain't recovered from Marah dropping him. Nick was used to fooling around with little girls while he was running off at the mouth. Mariah let him know that she was a fully GROWN woman and shut it down forever.

  • Liah

all that money and still a CLOWN

  • Wyteprivilege

I used to LOVE Jordans! Until I realized that Michael Jordan doesn't even wear Jordans. Sigh.

  • freelancepimp .

Cause it's his money and he earned it. He can do it however he wants.

  • Coy little wink

I know that but it seems counterproductive if that was his ultimate goal...

  • growingviolet

I'm starting to question his mental health.

  • Lady Elle

    ....and why is this news?

  • Luv Pitties

Did he lose his hair or something? Why does he insist on looking like the Black guy from Annie

  • Noirluv45

Exactly! I couldn't have said it better myself.

  • Noirluv45

    Lol! Ain't that the truth!

  • Liah

    Why what happen?

  • Sheila

I have Lupus and I've lost a lot of my hair so I wear a lot of cute hats and colorful turbans

  • Storm’s Rage!

lol. yet he keeps releasing them to the dumb hood people to support his gambling addiction.

  • Wyteprivilege

As well as his cancer-causing cigars and his daily rounds of golf. God. My people.

  • We Can Do This

Never get high off your own supply!

  • We Can Do This

Maybe he also has Moor roots.
